"allow specific threads either spawned from the broad thread, or auxillary topics to be discussed for a few days to a week and then when the discussion dies down go back and lock the thread, any other discussion can go back into the "broad topic""

that would require mods that aren't lazy

What if someone wants to talk about:

Playstation Plus membership which spans all three devices?
A cross-buy title which gives licenses for multiple devices?
Playstation Now which will allow playing PS1/2/3 games on the PS4?
Remote Play which allows playing PS4 games on a Vita?

This is the thread for that."

Big shout-out to a terrible idea.

This was fucking stupid. Big help, that. If I'm interested in whether Scorpion is any good, I'm definitely going to look for your big stupid "FALL TV 2014" thread instead of "Scorpion."

The board has threads last posted in over a week ago still on the first page. I really don't think you need to be worrying about what's "threadworthy," yo!

As per the Fall TV discussion thread, it was a major problem for about 3 cycles or so where one or two users would create 10 threads each (one per new show) and bump it on their own once per week ensuring it stayed on the top until cancelled. So Entertainment's front page was a flood of dead topics which 1-2 people resurrected each week.

It was pretty annoying, but its hard to see how you do anything about it which doesn't result in complaints like this.

We try to keep it at 1 active thread per section, instead of 2 half active threads

I'm Krallum and I approved this message.
