Ok, well I guess I will wait until liberals pull the same shit on conservatives and see if your level of outrage reaches the same heights as it has in this thread.
7/21/2010 3:19:31 PM
It's not liberal vs. conservative to me. I don't care who is fucking over whom. If it's wrong, it's wrong. But don't mistake my posting responses to you as outrage. I'm hardly outraged. In fact I'm boring on complete indifference. If it weren't for the fact that a seemingly nice, helpful and competent government employee has been completely railroaded over some trite bullshit like this by dishonest idealogues and spineless politicians, I wouldn't care less.[Edited on July 21, 2010 at 3:44 PM. All this time, I never realized that conservatives were pretty much the only ones to play the race card

boo-hoo a liberal was unjustly portrayed as a racist for political gainbooooo hooooo!!!!
7/21/2010 5:22:57 PM
Judging the full video, she should still have been fired. Just imagine, if you will, a white woman telling the same story in reverse to an organization devoted to the advancement of whites, and the audience laughing inappropriately at certain statements. You don't want to be associated with racism? Don't be associated with a racist organization! Seems easy enough. Look at the track record of the NAACP the past 20 years or so... Half the "racial" problems in this country are fueled by those douche bags.
7/21/2010 6:05:16 PM
^^ look, it's disgusting when liberals do it to conservatives. it is EQUALLY disgusting when conservatives do it to liberals
7/21/2010 6:21:24 PM
7/21/2010 8:21:00 PM
to be fair, she made some comments that weren't pretty that if a white person said them, he'd be crucified. in fact, one practically was. And he made his statement in front of none other than the NAACP. saying that she sent the white guy "to his own people" isn't exactly a non-prejudiced thing to say...
7/21/2010 8:24:02 PM
if you take it out of context thats true
7/21/2010 8:41:34 PM
7/21/2010 10:00:08 PM
The whole issue stinks, and everyone that's trying to exploit it for any self-serving purpose should be ashamed of themselves. And people on here laughing about it ought to take a long, hard look at themselves in the mirror and ask why it's funny.
7/21/2010 10:06:18 PM
^^^ in what context is saying "sending the white guy to his own people" not bad?
7/21/2010 10:10:55 PM
^ there are very few if any, which is the point Sherrod was ultimately trying to make. Have you not watched the full video?
7/21/2010 10:14:48 PM
no. in the video, her remarks about "his people" are off the cuff and are more indicative of how she thinks than the comment about not doing everything she could have. I'm sorry, but a white person saying exactly the same words would be crucified, and you know it. she isn't making any point at all by saying "his people."]
7/21/2010 10:16:53 PM
yes, she certainly was making a point. 24 years ago, she saw the world slightly differently. The entire point of the story she told was that her views on race changed considerably through reflecting upon that encounter and likely hundreds of others like it.
7/21/2010 10:20:44 PM
^^ that’s just blatantly wrong. Watch the video again...[Edited on July 21, 2010 at 10:21 PM. Reason : ]

7/22/2010 12:02:16 AM
Not everyone, just people who oppose israels right to defend itself lawfully
7/22/2010 12:03:19 AM
And it's good to see you finally admit that you don't care about justice or equality, you're only interested in partisan hackery. This will make it easier to dismiss your idiotic ranting in the future.
7/22/2010 12:05:32 AM
I do care about justice but there ain't gonna be any relief from the usual race baiting suspects So... That's just how the cookie crumbles. I'm sorry i am not crying over the fact that liberals got a dose of the medicine they've been serving for years[Edited on July 22, 2010 at 12:11 AM. Reason : ]

Are you capable of taking off the partisan blinders, even for a moment?
7/22/2010 7:56:41 AM
What do you want me to say? Of course it sucks for her personally but it also sucks for all the many conservatives that have been wrongly accused of racism. She was a political appointee. This shit comes with the territory. If democrats don't want to be wrongly accused of racism once every 10 years then maybe they should lay off the constant false accusations of it themselves
7/22/2010 8:02:41 AM
Link to Sherrod falsly accusing people of being racists?I mean, it must be out there, right, considering she undoubtably brought this mess upon herself.[Edited on July 22, 2010 at 8:14 AM. Reason : .]
7/22/2010 8:13:02 AM
If she had done so, it would be just retribution and wouldn't personally suck for her. She is a casualty in a political battle you stupid motherfucker. Do you think the only soldiers who get killed in war are the ones who have already killed an enemy soldier? The democrats have used race baiting as a political weapon for decades and now one of their own political appointees got it used against her. Big fucking deal go find a tissue and move on
7/22/2010 8:17:01 AM
7/22/2010 8:26:37 AM
Sorry all my "feel sorry" was used up years ago. I don't feel bad for conservatives anymore either if that helps... I understand this is one of only a few race baiting episodes to ever register on your liberal radar screen so I don't necessarily fault you for your sorrow, but it does strike me a little bit as crying over spilled milk.
7/22/2010 8:33:04 AM
1.) I'm not a liberal. In fact in one thread i think our political ideologies lined up pretty well.2.) Comparing people's reactions to her situation as crying over spilled milk does her ordeal a disservice. That's really all I have left to say about it I guess.

^she said those things in the context of the story, as in that is how she was looking at it at the timeshe took the white farmer to his peoplebut within the context of the lesson learned at the end, we can see that she does not think that way anymore
7/22/2010 6:01:10 PM
What about in the context of you owing me five dollars, you piece-of-shit welsher?
7/22/2010 6:03:20 PM
i don't think so. we can agree to disagree, but I saw no indication that she was saying that was how she thought then, but not now, especially given the number of times she said it. Yes, it's clear that she thought that then, but just her speech patterns as she said those things were different than when she said the things that she certainly says she no longer thinks. She hesitates, as if to say "yeah, I know this is bad." There is no hesitation with "his people".
