in the comics does peter parker shoot webs out of his skin... or is it a contraption? i'm still confused on the movie vs. comics..does peter parker rely on his wits, contraptions, and cleverness to defeat villains in the comics?or was it just like the movies?

In the comics, you originally used machines, but then he turned into a spider and gave birth to himself, and can now shoot out of his skin.

well here's the graphic I have bookmarked whenever spiderman villains come up, this should spark some discussion

they will probably go with kingpin

how about vermin? I had never even heard of him

I always thought of Dr. Doom as more of a Fantastic Four villain.

Strange that Spider-man has no female villains. You'd figure they'd at least have a busty seductress ala Catwoman or Ra's Al Ghul's daughter.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Cat_%28comics%29Pretty much the same as Catwoman, but with a slightly better affinity for good (I guess it depends on the story arc). Not quite up to full villain status, but its about as close as you are going to get.

i always kinda wanted to see mysterio on screen, even though that probably wouldn't work very well with "dark and gritty"
2/1/2011 6:42:42 PM
oh "dark and gritty"...what once was a reborn movement in the 1980s has now become all too common and the norm and quite often seems sillier than if they just "played it straight"

the morpheus story was actually pretty cool too but of course with all the vampire stuff being overdone all over the place it might not turn out too well, I'm not even really getting very excited about this movie because it could be bad but I think it would be neat if they focused some on that genetic altering machine (I forgot what it was called) this time around; that was kind of the core of the cartoon to a degree

I, too, am not too excited for this movie. Even though Spider-Man 3 wasn't an incredible movie, I still thought Tobey Maguire did a good job as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the series. The tone of those movies were pretty good too. If they wanted to do a reboot they should have waited a lot longer.

Reboots should be a generational thing. Make a new spider man when our kids are teenagers. At this rate they'll start casting for the Sorcerer's Stone remake in 2013.[Edited on February 2, 2011 at 9:30 AM. Reason : x]
