^^^^If they're char-grill style, then that answers my question. Between PR, Char-Grill, and The Times, I don't see how Five Guys could improve on the Raleigh formula.

It was a generalized reference to DOSE 100% RALEIGH BURGER OFFERINGS.

Not any kind of literal terminology.

Uncle Fatty's at Cameron Village is pretty good.

Even if the whole concept is a big Fat Daddy's rip off.

Five guys tastes like any old burger I've ever eaten at a backyard cookout. Their toppings and condiments can be bought at any food lion. They're fries are mediocre at best, just super greasy sliced potatoes with no seasoning or anything. All served in a brown paper bag? This is nothing special people These places only survive in big cities where residents don't know how to operate their own grills and have never eaten at a down home burger shack. Five Guys is neither cheap enough nor tasty enough for me to drop hard earned cash in any of their establishments. /rant

Five Guys is the okay burger place that puts peanut oil (or something like that) on everything, right?

I seem to remember eating at one near Concord Mills and the peanut warning label being fucking everywhere.

shocking revelations

one can cook something better suiting their tastes and likes at home than at a fast food chain restaurant

their burgers are overrated and overpriced, but the fries are tasty. A small fry will feed three people.

[Edited on July 11, 2010 at 8:27 PM. Reason : you have to douse them in malt vinegar to cut the peanut oil off.]

maybe the burger isn't strictly 10/10

but after walking in, stuffing yourself with peanuts while you wait for your order, taking like the next half hour to eat your meal, and finally cramming that last bit of burger into your mouth, belching, and lazing back like a contented boa constrictor or something...

it's well worth $10 now and again

That's ignorance. It's a completely different style of burger. You could make that argument about Backyard though I guess.
