I just said Tarzan due to the visual style it had and the technology advances they made with it. Other than that, it's Lion King hands down. Then Aladdin... then they all fall to and hover around the same level imo. Those are the 3 that stand out for me. Tarzan for different reasons than the other two.

That sounds like more of a problem with your perspective + knowledge of the actors more so than a problem with the movie. You're biased because you're familiar with the actors. Kids have no idea who those people are. And 15 yrs from now, nobody under 30 will either. Shoot, it probably won't even take that long. I mean, is Jeremy Irons really that well known amongst the general public? James Earle Jones? I mean I know we all know who he is as soon as we hear his voice or see him. But I'd be surprised if my 13 yr old nephew knows.

My guess is you're not familiar with the actors in the older movies - I know I'm not. I looked several up and some have between 40 and 200 credits. I don't know what films/tv shows were big when, so maybe none were as well known as a James Earle Jones or even a Jeremy Irons, but it's possible they were recognizable back then. Especially since some of them had a ton of radio credits. I don't know if you've ever listened to any old radio shows (some are actually pretty entertaining) but back then a person's voice could have easily been more recognizable than their face simply because people listened to radio programs regularly. We just weren't around back then to know if these were recognizable people or not.

Those great voices will always be there. And that same voice acting will still be there and easily outlast the recognition of the actors. And keep in mind who the major target audience is. You can buy into the Walt Disney "innocence in all of us" stuff... but these are kids movies that adults may not mind watching with them. Kids today already don't know who those people are.

This thread is making me want to watch some Disney movies. I haven't watched any since I was a counselor at the YMCA 7 years ago.
