I registered and got the offer within a week. I registered after the start date but two days before everyone on the onlive mailing list got an invitation to register.

Micro-console is dropping Dec. 2 at $99 with a free game if you pre-order.http://www.onlive.com/game-system

Here is a preview video of the device with Steve Perlman. I am really thinking about getting one of these. For $100, a free game, and I'll sell an old game or two and I won't really pay that much for it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXaArSIHTeY&feature=player_embedded#!

Needs better catalog. I think if I didn't already have a PC, PS3, Wii, Xbox360 I'd be all over this. I think with proper marketing it could be big, but doesn't have anything that I'm interested in yet. The spectating shit is neat.

^Perhaps if the available games for $9.99/mo expands, I'll consider it, but the list is short, and pretty shitty right now.I like how they throw in a year old sports title, which has been replaced by a clearly superior one (NBA 2K10 vs. 2K11)...

I got this email and was excited. This is exactly what I hoped the service would be from the start. I just have an issue paying $100 for something that has one purpose when I could pay $150 for a netbook that does the same thing and a lot more and get a better xbox360 controller. I'm still tempted to buy one as an engineer and someone working in the same industry, just to play

The microconsole works great. It looks really good on the TV screen. I would say if you hav 100 bucks to spare to buy it and try it out.

I think Seedless works for Onlive.

Pre-order Homefront, get the Microconsole (but pay taxes if necessary and shipping) AND Metro 2033 for free! Pretty sweet deal if you are curious about this system was trying about trying it.http://www.onlive.com/go/homefront

Insanely tempting, but I still say no. Onlive is great fun, but the quality is noticeably inferior to actually having the real game on PC. so if it was a game I wanted to play, I'd do it that way. Now, if my gaming PC dies or I didn't already have one, then and only then would I jump on it.

if they released an android client i'd be more inclined. i've called them and talked to their partnership people a few times but they blow me off. they must not think i'm a real company.

In addition to the free games, you can sign up for the PlayPack (which is $10/month) with the first month for free and you can cancel at anytime. There is alike 40+ games in the play pack. I would say this is overall a sweet deal and if you don't like it you can always sell the Microconsole on eBay and make most of your money back, and still be able to use Onlive through he PC client.

OnLive launches CloudLift. CloudLift could be explained as Steam have a cloud component. Which is awesome, you can buy your games and download them like you would from Steam, but you also have the luxury of a cloud component that lets you play anywhere you want on a supported device. I think its a great Idea, but it might be a little pricy. Right now they are $15/month, but I think it should be the same price as Netflix or maybe a few dollars more. I will have to try this out. This really is awesome I think.
