^^^i don't think anyone said they were
5/27/2010 2:31:55 PM
As a huge fan of the SP, I have no problem admitting Corgan is a douche. But Gish, Siamese Dream, and Mellon Collie are complete gold. I like a ton of other stuff from them as well but I can never get enough of those 3.
5/27/2010 2:34:38 PM
They were an afterthought to me, in the 1990s, when I was listening to pretty much all the other bands I listed, yet didn't care much for Smashing PumpkinsLet me ask something else...what did yall think of the band Live...cause I fucking HATED them[Edited on May 27, 2010 at 2:37 PM. Reason : .]
5/27/2010 2:36:25 PM
I listened to "Throwing Copper" some because my dad owned it, but I never really got into them.
5/27/2010 2:39:23 PM
Live was another band that I could never even attempt to get into because of how much they were overplayed on the radio...I swear to god I've heard "Lightning Crashes" and "I Alone" like 500 times on the radio each...nothing to turn you off to a band like getting them forcefed down your ear canals twice an hour, every hour

5/27/2010 5:35:10 PM
^^FUCK YOU MOTHERFUCKERok heres a question...when you bought your tickets, was Nirvana still the headliner, or was it SP
5/27/2010 5:35:51 PM
i bought my lollapalooza tickets after they found kurt dead[Edited on May 27, 2010 at 5:36 PM. Reason : s]
5/27/2010 5:36:24 PM
I dont remember. I would assume after. I didn't know Nirvana was supposed to tour with them. They were the headliner and I can't remember who opened for them. Kurt was dead for 2 months by that point. I'm pretty sure we got our tickets a few days before the show. Dude.. that was 16 years ago.
5/27/2010 5:38:25 PM
I just remember one of the main reasons I wanted to go that year was because Nirvana was the headlinerBut Green Day, L7, George Clinton and A Tribe Called Quest all put on good performancesNick Cave and the Bad Seeds? Not a fan]
5/27/2010 5:40:12 PM

we probably are older than youor not, if you were in highschool in 94...I think I was in 8th grade or something...I'm 30 now[Edited on May 27, 2010 at 5:43 PM. Reason : .]
5/27/2010 5:41:02 PM
I didnt see them at lollapalooza, they were doing their own tour. Off topic but I did go to the first lollapalooza in '91 at Walnut Creek.
5/27/2010 5:42:27 PM
oh well that explains it...Nirvana was the headliner in 94, but they cancelled a day before Cobain killed himself (or at least before they publicly announced his death), and SP became the new headliner]
5/27/2010 5:43:09 PM
as much as i'd like to have lollapalooza credthere's no way my parents would let me go to lollapalooza at 10
5/27/2010 5:44:40 PM
mellon collie is the only album i ever liked. there were 10 amazing songs between the two cds and the rest was solid at best.
5/27/2010 6:08:28 PM
Does anybody remember that super awesome band called Zwan
5/27/2010 6:20:42 PM
i went to lollapalooza in 03 ^^ i think the first disc of mellon collie is a lot better than the second. there were a lot of songs i think should have been left off[Edited on May 27, 2010 at 6:21 PM. Reason : ^]

5/27/2010 8:15:27 PM
I dont really like the Gin Blossoms, but just a LOT of memories tied to that album (first love listened to them ALL the time) so its one of the more meaningful albums out there.. dammit
5/27/2010 8:29:20 PM
