I wonder how many of the latino students were pissed off that they had to go to school and it wasn't a city/state/national holiday
5/6/2010 6:36:06 PM
^What does that have to do with anything? Way to trash your credibility.
5/6/2010 6:50:40 PM
5/6/2010 6:50:57 PM
^^If the school is willing to send students home for wearing tshirts with American Flags on Cinco De Mayo, why not just make it a national holiday so that the latino students who were supposedly so offended could celebrate the holiday? If we're going to put so much value on Cinco De Mayo, like we would with holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving, then why are they in school on that day?Funny though, your post about me losing my credibility is yet

kids are in school on July 4th? really?
5/6/2010 6:53:55 PM
Wouldn't the real anti-mexican statement be wearing french flags?[Edited on May 6, 2010 at 6:55 PM. Reason : .]
5/6/2010 6:55:18 PM
kids are in school on July 4? July 1? July 15? July 30?
5/6/2010 6:55:24 PM
5/6/2010 6:57:31 PM
you know what else is a dumb idea?sending someone home from a school in the United States for wearing a shirt with a United States flag on itwe can talk about this as much as we want, but the first reply in the thread pretty much sums up the entire situation]
5/6/2010 6:58:11 PM
that has already been established. But two dumbs don’t make a smart now, do they?
5/6/2010 6:59:03 PM
5/6/2010 7:01:45 PM
its not even a holiday in mexico
5/6/2010 7:05:26 PM
^^ you’re putting words in the school’s mouth there.I don’t think this was an issue of “respect” for the Mexican holiday. You have to remember, these are high schools kids. It’s pretty likely that the guys wore the shirts for the amusement that would ensure from the ire they drew from the majority (?) mexican descent population of the school. The ass. principal probably thought they were going to try and pick fights with other people, or other people were going to try and pick fights with them, because that’s what people do in high school if someone bucks a common trend.
5/6/2010 7:05:54 PM
Quote :"another example of political correctness going way too far"UN-FUCKING BELIEVABLE.I'm not hyper-patriot by any means but this principal should be fired.
5/6/2010 7:06:39 PM
^^perhaps...but thats all i meant by talking about them being mad about being in school in the first place[Edited on May 6, 2010 at 7:07 PM. Reason : .]

5/6/2010 7:11:59 PM
i could see myself back in high school being one of the douchebags trying to make fun of the mexicants
5/6/2010 7:14:49 PM
I remember a time in high school when if you were being a douchebag, you got your ass beat. And then you learned not to be a douchebag. what a simpler time that was
5/6/2010 7:21:41 PM
Wonder if the school flew the American Flag yesterday or if they took that down too...you know, so they didn't start any shitI'm gonna wear a State jersey to the football game at UNC next year...I just hope they don't kick me out for trying to start shit]
5/6/2010 7:57:55 PM
Schools suspend kids who intentionally disrupt the learning environmentoh noes
5/6/2010 8:05:20 PM
What a huge disruption they must have caused! And they didn't get suspended, the school isn't that dumb]
5/6/2010 8:06:08 PM
Sent home is just a degenerate case of suspension isn't it?This thread, the comprehensive history: Kids act like cunts, cunt adults rush to their defense.
5/6/2010 8:10:24 PM
Its effectively a one day suspension, but an actual suspension would certainly bring even more backlash against the school since the school board already said they didn't agree with how the school handled itI agree with the 2nd part, although like aaronburro said, kids used to take care of this themselvesOn a lighter note, maybe instead of being sent home for the day, the kids with the flag shirts should've just been tasered]

ok, keep siding with the cunty adultsat least the cunty kids are young dumb HS kidsthe cunty adults are in charge of educating thousands of kidsbtw looks like I was partially right...one of the kids names is Galli...probably Italian...another's name is Maciel...which is, SURPRISE, OF MEXICAN HERITAGEbut fuck him for embracing the country he lives in more than the country his ancestors were from
5/6/2010 8:23:49 PM
while they undoubtedly wore those shirts to be dicks about it, they damn sure shouldn't have been sent home. and this:
5/6/2010 8:28:02 PM
I heard in North Korea, kids at school get shot on sight if they DON'T wear tshirts with pictures of their glorious leader on it every day]
5/6/2010 8:57:14 PM
Suspend and beat down the two kids in Tap Out shirts. The other two are free to go.
5/6/2010 9:13:04 PM
Don't beat town, taseHonestly though, shirt-wise, I think the dude on the right has by far the lamestfollowed closely by the black shirtand i never thought i'd say this but the old navy t-shirt is the least lame]
5/6/2010 9:22:13 PM
wtf is Tap Out?
5/6/2010 9:34:22 PM
i think it has something to do with MMA (mixed martial arts)like a sponsor or brand of training clothes or some shit

You'll hardly find more American flags in one spot than at an immigration reform rally.
5/6/2010 10:56:20 PM
I didn't notice a single U.S. flag at the recent immigration reform rally here in Albuquerque.
5/6/2010 11:01:56 PM
question:is turning around a shirt with a flag on it / turning it inside outin the same league as letting a flag touch the ground?ie, you dont do it because its disrespectful to the flag?
5/6/2010 11:13:57 PM
having the flag on a shirt is disrespectful in the first place

(e) is irrelevant because its talking about flags, not shirts(k) i understand...but again, its talking about FLAGS not SHIRTS
5/7/2010 12:25:30 AM
but if a flag is on a shirt, it’s a flag, as established in item (i)
