just to stir the "media bias" pot a little
last night a bunch of unc students again protested a speech on campus. one student was arrested in the lobby outside of the auditorium where the former congress man was speaking for carrying a concealed weapon.
we have 4 kids toking a little doobage and we get a giant headline with all names released.
they have a kid carrying a gun at an assembly on campus where a really really unpopular speaker is speaking they get two lines buried in a paragraph at the end of the story. no names listed.

so what are college teams going to do when weed is legalized?

i mean it has a VERY good chance of happening in California this november.

If you thought Cali schools had a recruiting edge before, just wait

I'm sure the NCAA will allow student athletes at universities in California to have completely different requirements and rules than student athletes in all other states

We are currently 7th in the Fulmer Cup with 7 pts. UGA is 6th with 8 pts. Duke is 5th with 9 pts and ECU is 2nd with 16 pts.

7th in the nation.
3rd in the state.

I think this is the part that irks me the most. Why in the hell would a prominent student athlete do drugs "on campus?" College Inn is basically an NC State run dorm that's owned by the Wolfpack Club. Take that shit to an off-campus house and this probably wouldn't have happened.

shit i would figure that it would make it more safe for the athletes there. Who in the wolfpack club wants our players to get in trouble.

The Duke AD protected JJ when he got caught.....

i had to look up the fulmer cup on wikipedia

Quote :
"In order to be eligible to win the Fulmer cup, a school must have more than one player charged. In other words, a school may not win the cup on the basis of a single player's criminal record. This is known as the Ellis T. Jones III rule, after the San Jose State wide receiver who in 2006 was charged with 13 felony counts, including robbery, assault, and kidnapping; accumulating 31 points."

that is hilarious

This only feeds more fuel to the rumor I want to start about Lee being the supplier.

Also what I think is bullshit is the people saying they should be gone for the year. Lawson got a DUI and Reddick was caught in a similar situation and the punishment there didn't come close to affecting their seasons.
