Nope, they both imply median.

[quoteSo if the public is right of center, and the public is evenly split between conservatives and liberals, then the conservatives are radical and the liberals are centrist.[/quote]
sorda. i would call moderate liberals like the blue dogs "centrist". Liberal liberals like pelosi and reid just typical liberals. Obama slightly left of center. Palin, beck, hannity and limbaugh extreme right. Michael moore and some other entertainers I would call far left. far left is socialist/communist. Our liberal politicians are far from being far left.

He's going to be a centrist like Clinton.

- He got some of the healthcare Clinton was trying to get
- Taxes are going to roll back to Clinton levels
- Financial regulation is going to roll back (at most) to pre-Clinton levels, but more likely only a fraction of the way back
- Military spending and activity will be more than Clinton. Afghanistan is not going to end soon unless we just give up or get bin laden. It's way tougher than iraq
- Fiscal policy will be like GWB
- Unless the economy tanks, no more stimulus bills
- Abortion won't be touched -- maybe some of the bush executive orders get removed
- On education, he will support more competition and performance pay than GWB and Clinton
