one of the games was 20-0 lolI think they outscored them like 45-3 over a three game series or something completely lopsided like that...but right after that series, the Brew Crew was only 5-10 against other teams in the majorsbut anyways
5/3/2010 3:38:17 PM
yeah that's just awful. i remember a few years back the Rangers whooped the O's like 25-0 or something. it was a dark day to be an O's fan, i think they ran through all their pitchersthose were the days of Rodrigo Lopez and Daniel Cabrera competing to be the heir to Mussina. whoops!
5/3/2010 4:52:06 PM
Fucking Mussina.
5/3/2010 6:07:28 PM
it sucks he left, but it made it worse he went to the YankeesO's were solid and he was a big piece...however, i foresee a pitching dynasty like the ones of yore Matusz is straight slingin' it on the mound like he's done it 100 times before
5/3/2010 6:19:05 PM
5/4/2010 11:35:22 AM
ol' McDonald...if he had been given the time to develop that these younger pitchers have, he might have been greator he could have been Kerry Wood, but it's nice to think about[Edited on May 4, 2010 at 9:08 PM. Reason : ]
5/4/2010 9:06:53 PM
didn't Matusz face Burnett like a week ago?
5/4/2010 9:25:15 PM
yeah Matusz lost that one, not sure of the scoreif he doesn't lose the game tonight, he won't get a decision eitherpoopers
5/4/2010 9:40:13 PM
I have them both in fantasy which is why I noticed...I might be wrong, but I want to say the previous game was also 3-1, although yeah, Matusz got the LThats one of the dilemmas of having decent AL East pitchers like Matusz...a quarter of his starts are against great offenses like Tampa and NYY (and Boston when they want to be)
5/4/2010 9:43:10 PM
matusz still got me 4 points today. thankfully my league awards 3 points for every 1 IP. and i guess the o's/yankees game won't be televised in NC on MLB network tomorrow for the 1:00 PM game. fuck you, time warner cable. i wouldn't be able to watch it regardless, but fuck you anyway.[Edited on May 4, 2010 at 11:16 PM. 5/4/2010 11:16:15 PM
they used to televise the games here and in Charlotte before Angelos pulled his MASN shitand yeah, fuck some TWCDavid Hernandez caught the L today, 7-5 to the Yankeeson a positive note, Ty Wigginton is hitting great (9 HR, 17 RBI) on a team that rarely scores
5/5/2010 7:04:23 PM
came close to coming back. at least they made it interesting. 7-21 so far. how long will it be before they can compete again in the AL east?
5/5/2010 11:16:52 PM
i would love to say next year, but i think 2-3 more years before they get all the young bats and arms ready to compete at a high levela few younger guys should be called up around midseason, but i doubt they make a serious impact til next year or the year after
5/6/2010 11:50:02 AM
Bergesen picks up the win 2-0 over the Twinshis ERA dropped 3 points from pitching almost 7 scoreless innings, so hopefully he can keep that up after just being called back up from the minorsi'm keeping this shit updated
5/6/2010 10:37:16 PM
5/6/2010 10:59:49 PM
5/6/2010 11:30:32 PM
game postponed, double header tomorrowi thought the Twins had a sliding roof on their new stadium? i thought i saw some kind of structure like that when i caught a Twins gameunless it's a bad attempt at modern architecture
5/7/2010 10:25:09 PM
no roofand the way they built target field pretty much means they can never add one on, eitherthat's pretty fucking dumb for baseball in april and september in minnesota if you ask me
5/7/2010 11:20:49 PM
^exactly why i'm wondering why the game was postponed...no roof? seriously? they bitched and moaned for a new stadium all for themselves and that's what they build? nice work
5/8/2010 12:14:19 AM
L 5-1 to SeattleCliff Lee stopped any runs from scoring, the bastardcurrently 9-24...conservatively, i hope they can get to 10 wins before 30 lossesand by the way, very glad Garret Atkins has only a one year contract
5/11/2010 9:49:00 PM
Win 5-2 vs Mariners todayLuke Scott with a grand slam in the 8th!remember Corey Patterson, of Cubs fame? he was just called up to replace Reimold in the outfield, and is already producing
5/13/2010 4:22:57 PM
5-2, 6-5, same difference
5/13/2010 4:31:06 PM
it helps my fan morale to list winning scores
5/13/2010 4:37:07 PM
imagine how good Matusz could be if he didn't pitch for the Orioles
5/15/2010 10:38:22 PM
The O's are going to eventually become mired in a duel with Pittsburgh to see who takes the longest to get back to the playoffs, and who loses the most can't-miss star players due to suckitude in the process.[Edited on May 18, 2010 at 11:35 AM. Reason : .]

5/18/2010 11:43:38 AM
Forgot about them. Pittsburgh has a more storied past, however. It's not like the Expos were the dominant team of any period of time other than April-July 1994.
5/18/2010 3:08:50 PM
I went by camden yards this weekend....I was sitting behind an Indians fan.that is all.
5/18/2010 3:35:55 PM
did you at least eat well and drink natty boh?
5/18/2010 5:32:14 PM
the orioles will be fine eventually, i would rather they do it right by taking their time and developing players instead of chucking money at free agents, which is what has set them back so farafter this season there should be some activity in free agency or trades to acquire some bats and baserunning speed and most of all they'll address the bullpenthey have gotten to the point where they can add a few pieces and maybe not finish last
5/18/2010 9:07:26 PM
5/18/2010 9:10:57 PM
the hope is that they can build the farm system the way the Rays havethe way that McPhail built the teams in Minnesota and Chicago Cubs is promising...i think that if they combine the philosophy of the Rays, and simultaneously add high end free agents or trade for players who are peaking they could be solidthe farm system is coming along, it just takes like 10 years
5/18/2010 9:14:31 PM
just sucks for you and other Orioles fans that you happen to be in the same division as Boston and New York...half the time those teams will be the division winner and wildcard, in whatever order
5/18/2010 9:16:42 PM
yeah it does suck...i miss the mid-90s when playing the Red Sox and Yankees had big time implicationsnow it's just hoping to steal 1 of 3, at least for the foreseeable future
5/18/2010 9:26:27 PM
5/18/2010 10:35:44 PM
seems like they lose a lot of close games (lost in 10 last night to the Rangers)maybe next year they will split or win a majority of those games with younger players learning
5/20/2010 7:39:37 PM
yes, the Orioles still play baseball! They have the 3rd pick in the upcoming draft, which i'm not super excited about...they have had horrible drafts since 1991 save for a decent player here and thereyet another reason why they suck, they've basically had a farm system full of retards that don't improveW last night over the A's, Matusz on the mound tonightgod dangit i wish i could watch this on TV...i want to see him pitch
5/26/2010 7:12:08 PM
Matusz has given up 5 earned runs alreadyglad I dropped that sack of shit in fantasy
5/26/2010 8:07:36 PM
i prefer to call him a work in progress, but sack of shit works too
5/26/2010 9:03:39 PM
5/27/2010 8:21:15 PM
no, potential-wise they haven't been bad. but those players have a lot more work to do...a lot of big names in the past that never panned out for one reason or another
5/27/2010 9:21:06 PM
last year's first pick (matt hobgood) appears to be doing decent in rookie ball. his ERA isn't terrible, but it looks like it's more a function of sub par defense behind him at the moment. i've never been big on drafting high school players anyway since it usually takes so long for them to develop, but we'll see how it goes. looks like we might have the number 1 pick in the draft next year if things keep going the way they have been this season.
5/28/2010 9:23:53 AM
The whole "well, you play in the East" thing is a bad excuse. The Rays have shown what you can do to counter that. There's no reason why the O's farm system couldn't be much better.
5/28/2010 1:33:18 PM
5/28/2010 2:01:40 PM
Chris Tillman has been called up to start tomorrow vs. the Blue Jays...hopefully he tears it up Jake Arrieta shouldn't be far behind with David Hernandez throwing like shit and the possibility of Millwood being moved to a contending team looking for pitching depth (though maybe not until July)...he hasn't gotten any help from the offense this year despite solid pitchingwith how bad they are, i wouldn't mind seeing Josh Bell called up to take some at-bats away from Garret Atkins, who plays with a swiss-cheese bat^the farm system right now is as deep as it's ever been...after all those bad drafts they needed a few years for McPhail to bring in some better players through the draft and also trade aging veterans for young prospects (Bedard for Jones, Tillman)...this all just takes time, which can get frustratingthe issue now is can they find the right manager? can they find the right lineup? who can you push and who do you need to develop slowly? i don't think anyone wants another Ben McDonald/Larry Bigbie
5/28/2010 4:02:36 PM
Trembley has been fired, a month too late
6/5/2010 12:35:24 PM
Juan Samuel gets his first win as Orioles manager, 4-3 over the Red Soxlooks like next year is going to be what this year was supposed to be
6/6/2010 10:07:31 PM
what, just bad instead of terrible?
6/6/2010 10:17:47 PM
right on i'll take it at this point my god they are bad
6/6/2010 10:19:34 PM
