I really think the Jets were a 1 year wonder, I think LT made a mistake not signing with the vikings.
3/15/2010 12:02:07 PM
Much more PT available in NYShonn Greene and LT probably splitting near 50/50 where he would only be getting 4-6 carries a game in Minn.
3/15/2010 12:23:22 PM
I think the big thing is touchdownsNo way Tomlinson would get the goal line carries over Peterson, but he might over GreeneHe is very aware of his place in history and wants to finish as an all time top 5 guyRight now, he's clos...I'd say Brown, Sanders, Smith, and Payton are clearly ahead of him, and he's in that next tier with Dickerson, Faulk and Marcus Allen

Mcnabb to SkinsHoly Jeez
4/4/2010 8:17:06 PM
was just about to post that, unbelievable that they would trade him to a division rival. I hope mcnabb scorches them both times the skins play the eagles this yearfuck the eagles, totally screwed donovan over. I've never really had a reason to like or hate the eagles, but this definitely gives me a reason to hate the eagles now. donovan is a class act and didnt deserve this treatment
4/4/2010 8:19:16 PM
Will be very interesting to see what they gave up for him, never would've imagined they would trade him in their division.
4/4/2010 8:19:22 PM
4/4/2010 8:24:53 PM
Who gets the Cambells? Philly or DC?
4/4/2010 8:28:10 PM
stupid fucking movei've never understood why philly fans have been so ungrateful for mcnabbso you haven't won a superbowl, you've had lots of chances -- why get rid of him when he just finally got some good receivers again? I'm kind of glad they traded him, in a way, i can't wait to see Philly fans get their just comeuppance when they don't make the playoffs with Kolb.
4/4/2010 9:22:00 PM
The Redskins might be on to something here.McNabb could fit in Shanahan's stretch bootleg offense well and make them contenders next year. At least he's a good short term option while they search for a franchise guy.A 2nd and a 3rd in diff years seems cheap as hell for him too.
4/4/2010 10:55:12 PM
adam schefter: When Mike Shanahan became John Elway's head coach, Elway was 34 with rep for not winning big one. McNabb is 33 with same reputation.
4/4/2010 10:56:41 PM
I'm sick and tired of espn trying to paint this move as "fair" for McNabb and showed how much the Eagles respected him. They are saying that they couldve sent him to Oakland, but they wanted to send him to a team with a chance to win. Get the fuck outta here with that bullshit talk. The Eagles ran McNabb out of town, and there is no way they would send him to Washington if they thought it would make the Redskins a contender IN THEIR SAME DIVISION - they obviously still think that the eagles will finish ahead of the redskins or they wouldnt have sent him there.I really hope Donovan wins everytime he plays against the eagles, I almost hope the skins win a super bowl. How sweet would it be if McNabb won enough games that he decided to wear a redskins jersey when he is enshrined in the hall of fameI am going to be a quasi redskins fan this season (not enough to ever overshadow my love for the panthers or browns) and will root against the eagles any chance I get. I'll probably root against the 76ers and Phillies as well
4/5/2010 9:25:31 AM
4/5/2010 10:14:33 AM
I'm curious as to why the panthers didnt consider a trade for mcnabb.
4/5/2010 10:15:13 AM
As an Eagles fan, I am not happy with this. I am just hoping that Kolb lives up to all the faith that Andy Reid has in him. I mean Celek and Jackson are definitely playmakers, but they have to have someone that can get them the ball. Going to be an interesting (and probably frightening) season.
4/5/2010 11:38:42 AM
^^That would require the Panthers to still have the draft picks to trade, instead of pissing them away in bad trades every year.(Not to mention requiring management to pay money to an actually capable player)[Edited on April 5, 2010 at 11:59 AM. Reason : ]
4/5/2010 11:58:47 AM
I expect the Panthers to give a serious look at Jason Campbell now that he's expendable. I wouldn't be surprised if we ponied up a 5th-rounder for him. I would be ok with it too. Veteran but still young enough to push Moore and potentially fill in if Moore goes down. I think Campbell could do well in our offense.
4/5/2010 2:36:39 PM
I agree he'd be a good guy to bring in, but this is the Panthers front office we're talking about... He's not going to carry an offense (neither will Moore), but he's certainly not worse than Delhomme.
4/5/2010 4:21:35 PM
I think it has already been established that the Panthers don't plan on doing anything to better the team this offseason.
4/5/2010 4:27:29 PM
In their defense though, the front office is probably better off doing nothing.
4/5/2010 4:52:26 PM
4/12/2010 1:09:14 AM
What the hell kind of retard made that trade?
4/12/2010 1:35:49 AM
I'm hearing that Washinton may be involved in the trade, which means it's not nearly as one sided as it sounded originally.
4/12/2010 2:14:19 AM
you heard wrong.but holmes is facing a 4 game suspension for pot as well as a lawsuit. Steelers just wanted to unload him.helluva deal for the Jets if they can keep him in line. Holmes has emerged as a top-15 receiver over the past year, and he's only 26. for comparison, there has been a bunch of talk about teams trading a 1st for Brandon Marshall, a similar talent with just as many off-the-field issues. Jets have really loaded up this offseason.
4/12/2010 4:34:14 AM
Yep, it was just a steelers fan desperately hoping his franchise isn't falling apart
4/12/2010 8:53:02 AM
hope limas sweed can catch some balls this year
4/12/2010 9:02:28 AM
down with the steelers!!!!also, what an awful trade for the steelers. How the hell is Santonio only worth a throwaway draft pick?? Why couldnt the panthers or browns land him if that was the case?
4/12/2010 9:16:34 AM
Well he's going to be suspended at least four games to start the season, and he's a pothead who won't stay down. messed up his value somewhatI don't think the steelers are going to keep paying this idiot big money when one more fuckup lands him out of the league for a year. Plus they have a much bigger idiot to deal with.[Edited on April 12, 2010 at 9:21 AM. Reason : .]
4/12/2010 9:18:48 AM
It was a 5th round pick because everyone knew that the Steelers were desperate to get rid of him. He's already publicly said he doesn't want to play in Pittsburgh anymore. What did the Patriots give away for Randy Moss a couple years ago?? A 4th round pick I believe?? Same situation in my eyes (except Randy is a level above Holmes).
4/12/2010 9:47:42 AM
^ That trade was equally retarded. I was actually waiting for the league to step in and overrule that one.
4/12/2010 10:11:47 AM
pretty odd that the jets were the ones to end up with him when there are a ton of teams with much more pressing WR needs.
4/12/2010 10:25:21 AM
right, my beef isnt so much that the deal was lopsided, its that the panthers or some other team with a need at WR didnt land him. It seems like if it was common knowledge that the steelers only wanted a 5th round pick, he wouldve been gone as soon as the word got out
4/12/2010 1:12:00 PM
apparently all of this was decided yesterday and there were absolutely no talks beforehand
4/12/2010 1:12:57 PM
^^^Well, it was a pretty big drop from Edwards and Cotchery as the top 2 receivers, to Brad Smith at #3, though he did step up at the end of the year. I just have this feeling that Braylon may be traded soon. Pittsburgh was going to probably release Holmes if nobody was willing to trade, so at least they got something out of it. But, I'm happy, even if I have to wait 4 games for Santonio to suit up. Calvin Pace had the same issue last year, but worked his way in just fine. Adding Cromartie, Holmes, LT, and getting Kris Jenkins back is really getting me ready for the upcoming season for the Jets.
4/12/2010 1:19:15 PM
panthers didnt have a fifth to trade, did they? I think they already traded that pick for Tankregardless, Holmes is going to wash out of the league soon enough. he's won a super bowl, has his money, and he loves him some reefer, apparently. I don't think the panthers needed to waste a pick on him.
4/12/2010 1:24:15 PM
I'm not sure if any of you guys have watched the Gruden's QB camp segment on Sportscenter, but I gotta tell you it's pretty damn interesting. This segment is the closest thing that any of us are probably going to see in regards to the type of private workouts and interviews that NFL teams conduct with rookie quarterbacks. Here is the video of Gruden with Tebow:http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5080617&categoryid=2378529
4/13/2010 9:42:09 PM
Looks like Brandon Marshall to the Dolphins for a 2nd round pick this year and next. Pending physical and NFL approval.
4/14/2010 7:38:22 AM
Parcells is doing good things for that front office. That's a great trade for what they had to give up.The AFC East sans Bills is really on the up and up[Edited on April 14, 2010 at 10:34 AM. Reason : .]
4/14/2010 10:34:02 AM
as a Broncos fan I'm devastated. To think about our starting lineup on offense next year makes me cringe.

Ted Ginn to the 49erscan't wait to see what they do with their first round picks[Edited on April 16, 2010 at 1:41 PM. Reason : /wish we had #17]
4/16/2010 1:40:38 PM
^awesome. Spiller is out now as a first round pick. I'm pretty positive they will go Haden and OT (Anthony Davis, if the top 3 OTs are gone)
4/16/2010 1:49:40 PM
You're saying Spiller is going to fall to the second round?I wouldn't bet on that.
4/16/2010 3:27:31 PM
^he's saying Spiller is out as a potential first round pick for the niners (which would be great news for Spiller)[Edited on April 16, 2010 at 3:35 PM. Reason : )]
4/16/2010 3:35:06 PM
Wow another fifth-round pick.I guess its give away a fucking WR week in the NFL.WTF are these teams thinking?[Edited on April 16, 2010 at 3:39 PM. Reason : And why does Ginn = no Spiller for SF?]
4/16/2010 3:38:56 PM
SF needed a return man and a change of pace back to compliment Gore but they felt like they didn't want to spend a 1st rounder on that need bc they drafted Coffee last year.So instead of filling in a need for a return specialist in the first round they went after Ginn and will address more pressing issues such as CB, S, and OT with their two first round picks.
4/16/2010 3:59:22 PM
dunno if this has been released but apparently at WPC stuff this morning they said that Torry Holt has signed with the Patriots
