if people would take care of their tickets on time these things wouldnt happen. sorry but i get sick of clients calling us and acting like shit is not fair or an emergency cause they couldnt take care of it when they were suppose to.( i promise when you become a lawyer you too will get sick of the excuses)
you cant get mad at cops if you break the law or miss your court date

i just disagree with check points in general

AND i think they are a waste of time and resources (among other things)

i realize people are stupid and make stupid mistakes. i worked at legal aid - def saw my fair share of idiotic people getting themselves into trouble.

i just disagree with check points altogether - even when i've gone through them myself (and i've never even had a speeding ticket in my life - so my dislike for some aspects of the law isn't a personal grudge haha) but that is just my opinion. which obviously doesn't matter cause they aren't going anywhere fast it doesn't seem.

ANYWAY apparently my cats like knocked a bottle of tylenol off the counter in my bathroom (ok careless i know but seriously i'm sure other people leave tylenol in their bathroom) which was later chewed up and consumed by my dog

who i had to take to the vet to have her stomach pumped

i was there for like 4 hours. stress city.

that sucks

when my dog was wilder and younger she got ahold of a bottle of pepto pills and went to town

then ate one of my textbooks for ece303 or whatever the emag class was

the vet said it wouldnt do anything to her, so didnt have to get the stomach pumped, which was fortunate

but it was funny to spend the rest of the semester leafing through a crunchy pink book with no cover.

i'm sure the bill was expensive in your case

yea it just sucks cause i wasn't being super irresponsible. i mean YES i should have kept the bottle in the medicine cabinet but like i'm sure a million other people have set it on the counter in a rush before. when her stomach was pumped (and i laughed at this) she also threw up: paper of some sort, a button, and a hair tie.

i'm just glad she is ok. i have a special prescription and i have to watch her to make sure her pee/eyes/gums don't change color (liver ish)

the bill wasn't that bad. i mean it was expensive but luckily my regular vet worked her in instead of having to take her to the emergency vet. but it was like $150. and then $50 for the medicine. i mean a hell of a lot more than a regular vet visit but i almost was going to have to go to the emergency vet to get the RX cause they don't keep it on hand at my vet and that would have been like, a billion dollars.

OH DOGS. at least she is alive. i saw a girl come in and have her dog put to sleep while i was there today. i almost started crying. it was so sad

today i'm officially fixing my fridge/freezer

before i did a temp fix

but now that i have the tools to take it all apart i can actually defrost the entire thing. sweeeet.

i've spent the last hour or so chiseling ice out of it so i could unscrew and remove pieces

and once i took like everything out of the freezer i found that like EVERYTHING is frozen, including the fan (which was frozen in place). i'm using some really high tech tools including a space heater and a hair dryer.



this whole bottom section under the little tray thing was completely frozen solid with like an inch thick of ice. you can still see some in the back but i can't chisel that or i will hit something important. so it is thawing right now.

i also took the back panel off and cleaned off everything and all the coils underneath but something still isn't right (at least i don't think - it has been open awhile so maybe it just needs some time but earlier the fridge part just doesn't seem to be getting very cold. the freezer is fine - cold like usual). i think the evaporator fan is maybe broken. or at least the motor. cause it totally wasn't moving when i opened it up but it was also frozen. but since defrosting it still isn't turning. something is just wrong with the defrosting in general.

but the condenser fan is going since i cleaned it off and re plugged it back in, so it isn't that. so i don't know what is up. i guess i'm gonna have to call someone which pisses me off cause i do NOT feel like spending over $100 to get my stupid fridge fixed. but i can't test to see what parts are working and what aren't because i don't have the tools to do all the shit i need to like measuring ohm and stuff.

i definitely hear a clicking sound so i'm worried about my compressor too. i feel like 10 parts are going to need to be replaced and i'm just going to want to kill myself.

well the cable/internet people always try to blame the computer. turn everything off, unplug it, plug it back in (wireless router, internet dashboard, and laptop) then reboot. i know sometimes my computer just loses contact with the wireless and it just needs a complete reboot to get it connected again.

^thats interesting on a day like today. I had to manually reset a vista IP address and restart to get it to connect to the router. The Win7 and XP machines were all fine.

i don't know. well i connect directly to my modem w/ ethernet cable and tried a new cable tried like a thousand things (my airport obvi works fine for stealing other people's internet for right now) and reset some stuff on my comp but so far no dice

well the guy i was speaking with on the phone was confused anyway and kept putting me on hold to "check his resources" kinda sketched me out. well i think the convo went downhill when i told him i had a mac.

i forgot to update this so i will do it while everyone is sleeeeeping

my dog got injured again but i would like everyone to note it happened while she was NOT in my care. she was w/ my bf. and it was another accident. she was playing in the back yard and snagged her nail on something (prob a tree root) and it got all loose and they had to take it out

so now she is a cone head and has a big bandage on her foot

i think my dog is accident prone.

the thing is i'm trying.

today i went to all my classes for the first time in like...ever (i usually boycott school on monday) and ate healthy and did a swiss ball work out and washed my sheets and did my homework

i even had time for a bubble bath

TRYING TO MAKE POSITIVE LIFE CHANGES

but the check engine light on my car came on today (and i was like, whatever, i can deal with that)

but just now i kept feeling drip drip drip on my shoulder and i was like WTF i just took a bath but my hair/body is not wet so i look up

and there are water droplets on my ceiling

^^ yes that definitely does. my HOA is being a POS and trying to say they don't handle certain pipes. after their maintenance group comes tomorrow i'm going to call a plumber and get a second opinion.
