Again, if she cannot handle bored 8th graders, she shouldn't be teaching. Teaching isn't supposed to be a cakewalk. If this teacher isn't trained properly or doesn't have the will to seek the proper knowledge base and training and advice on classroom management, then again, she shouldn't be teaching.

"There are also books, mentors, forums and conferences on driving an F1 race car and flying a plane, yet it is experience which actually defines the skills possessed, so it is with classroom management."

problem with this analogy is that you would expect someone who was trained as an F1 race car driver or a pilot to be able to handle the smallest challenges of the job even if it was their first, second, or third year on the job. So it is with a teacher who was supposedly trained for this job.

It's almost certainly a classroom management issue. Good management doesn't react to bad behavior; it prevents it.

It's also cruddy administration, from the looks of it.

Ideally, though, none of the above would matter if the parents were worth anything.

I'm gonna start calling less affluent black people "porch monkeys," and I hope everybody understands that I'm not using a racial slur. I'm just being "disparaging." There's a difference, according to Lumex."

pwnt"

Are you an alias or did you miss my point just as much as Bridget? I suppose you think "Yankee" is a racial slur as well.

^Alrighty then, let me break your point down for you, and then you can tell me whether or not I get your point.

And if you tell me that I don't get your point, I'd really appreciate it if you took the time to explain your point.

You appear to be saying that since we only call less affluent, white people "rednecks," it's not a racial slur. Like, since we haven't blanketed all white people with the term "redneck" (like we have with black people and "nigger"), it's not a racial slur.

Could you confirm whether or not I get your point?

Student Facebook Tirade Against Teacher Is Protected Speech

http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2010/02/student-facebook-tirade-against-teacher-is-protected-speech/

Quote :
"The score is 2-1 in favor of the First Amendment when it comes to three federal rulings this month on the limits of students’ online, off-campus speech.

The latest ruling, which supports the student, concerned a former Florida high senior who was reprimanded for “cyberbullying” a teacher on Facebook. Katherine Evans, now 20, was suspended two years ago after creating a Facebook group devoted to her English teacher.

The group was called “Ms. Sarah Phelps is the worst teacher I’ve ever met!,” and featured a photograph of the teacher and an invitation for other students to “express your feelings of hatred.”

“It was an opinion of a student about a teacher, that was published off-campus, did not cause any disruption on-campus, and was not lewd, vulgar, threatening, or advocating illegal or dangerous behavior,” Magistrate Barry Garber of Florida ruled Friday.
"

Not quite the same thing, but relevant.

Hussain huh being that she is a Science teacher my guess is she is Atheist or Agnostic and not Muslim. As a Muslim the children singing Jesus Loves me wouldn't be totally blasphemous as they believe Jesus was a prophet.
