Royals update:

Callaspo goes yard twice today, drives in 6. Podsednik is still killing it somehow, .457, 7 SB. Butler and Guillen are still going strong, 3-5 today, .319 and .367, 10 RBI each for the season.

5-7, 4th in the ALC

Kyle Davies takes a no-no into the 6th, Farnsworth tries to blow it but Bruce Chen's greatness was too much. Billy Butler goes yard for the 2nd time this year, hitting .321 for the year.

Looks like they have a decently easy schedule through June, maybe they can hang on long enough for somebody to talk about them

8-11

i suppose...still would've only need 1/3 of an inning tonight

again, i'm only asking for more selfish fantasy reasons

guess i'll have to be happy enough with Papelbon and Franklin getting saves tonight

Can Greinke go winless on the season? It's entirely possible, unless he happens to go PG which might still end in a tie. Fucking Royals bullpen, trade somebody and get another reliable arm in there, Bruce Chen can't throw every night

6 straight losses.. at least Billy Butler is still a good hitter, and Mike Aviles might be..

If you can't beat the Indians, who can you beat?

^^ The Braves will give you a good bullpen arm and Troy Glaus or one of our sub .200 BA OFs in exchange for Billy Butler.

Also I heard the Royals fined Betancourt for dropping a pop-up or something. Some one in the Royals organization should be fined for giving Betancourt a contract. Dude is beyond horrible. Like Angel Berroa or Tony Pena Jr bad.

well that'd be cool, because I'm really a Braves fan.. I have no idea why Betancourt was an option with Mike Aviles coming back, Chris Getz is decent, Callaspo is doing well right now..

Also, Pena was kinda nice in the field and at running. I'm pretty sure he led the AL in triples a couple years ago even though he hit like .229

BREAKING NEWS...

Royals fire 3B Coach, move 1B coach to 3B coach, hire new 1B coach. If you want their names, look it up, I don't know any. But the Royals responded with a W last night,

Come on Billy Butler, keep hitting. Otherwise, who cares about the Royals?

nobody noticed I guess. the royals are in 3rd in the AL Central.. which might have three of the 4 or 5 worst teams in baseball

bump for this month.

Butler is still a machine, .339, only 6 HR though. Aviles is a strong hitter at .317, and DeJesus needs to get traded to some team that will contend and needs an all-around good player because he's 31. Hitting .324, 5, 31. Maybe the Royals can ship him off to get a decent prospect.

I'm thinkin Greinke gets his 3rd win of the year in 2 days vs the Braves, and while he hasn't been nearly as dominant his ERA is still decent at 3.94.

Also, the Royals are trying to keep Gordon down in AAA because they have too many players, which is bullshit. Get rid of fucking Yuni Betancourt or one of those shit pitchers that have a 6+ ERA, or trade somebody, or something.

oh yeah, other somewhat relevant news: KC will host the 2012 all-star game, maybe they'll get lucky and have more than the required one player in it

After watching the three game series with the Braves this weekend, I don't know how anyone could be a Royals fan. Most gut wrenching team ever. I was almost pulling for the Braves to drop a loss out of pity for those guys.

big news. royals trade the de-je kid (david dejesus) to oakland for Vin Mazzaro and some other faggot (justin marks). they also cut Brian Bannister in a ridiculous move. how the fuck do you think you can win in 2011 without Bannister?

of my projected starting lineup on page 1, the royals still have 4 of those players.

just for end of the year clean-up, the royals finished 27th out of 32 teams by overall record.

2011 is their year! look for that thread coming... like.. a few weeks into the season if they're not 0-fer
