^do you just have a standard hand brake in your 2.5RS or did you disable the lock pin?

i just hold in the button

but this is by far, NOT the best, recommended method

I will be installing a hydraulic handbrake with its own master cylinder and plumbing in the future

Yeah we always took the parking brake button off and just threw a brick behind the wheel when we want to park on a hill.

The main trick we learned to avoid blowing beads is always straighten the wheel when coming off of a jump or about to hit a groove. Otherwise just slather it with bead sealer and pump up to 45. We like to run spare tires on the rear because they're almost impossible to blow and slide like crazy.

Ok guys. Prereg/prepay is up now. $30 if you do both before the event. Or 35 at the event. And I think we're setting up a rallyX school in march as well.

I imagine it'd be a bad idea for my air filter to be hanging exposed in the front fender well?

Ur not gonna run into a prob unless there may be water present. But yah. Is there a fender liner on the car?

you can either swap your stock box back or put some panty hose over the filter.

Yeah Quinn. You can find outback deals all over the place. Outback sport on the other hand, I been trying to get one if those suckers at my Jewish price. That's hard to do.

A while ago I ran over a truck tire tread and it ripped out the fender lining on the passenger side. After a year or two of being paranoid of water/snow etc getting sucked up I replaced the fender lining. Then while living in NYC some asshole/bitch decided to cut a big hole in the fender lining and steal my K&N cone filter (which, at that point was already 5-6 years old). Since then I've replaced the K&N filter but haven't replaced the fender lining. Damn thing new costs $105 or so at the dealership (though I've admittedly never checked junkyard prices).

I have a hard time believing someone would cut a hole in the lining and steal my filter, but it happened a few days after my car had been in the shop and I can't think of any other scenario. The cut is way too fine to have been some "accident" from running over something on the road.

Go figure

Oh, and my parents threw out the stock intake box long ago (without my knowledge )

most likely you'll be fine. we've raced at this location after some rain and it really doesnt puddle up anywhere. if you're worried, take your intake arm off and just run the filter, and put a little breather on the valve cover. at least have that in mind if you decide to come and see that there's standing water.

but that something you can gauge the day before or so. im trying to remember if i have the stock setup from my type R, or at least an extra. I may have at least the rubber intake arm. ill poke around the garage for it, you're welcome to have it incase you decide to come out to a few events.

I need to pay up for this.

And not to sound like an idiot, but how important is ground clearance? I think the Integra has about 4.5" at its lowest point, and if I adjust the spring seat height I think I can get another inch. However 4 hrs of work for 1" is kind of a pain.

Suggestions?

you have coil overs?

still have the stock suspension? swap it back?

4.5 to 5" should be enough, will just cause you to drive more conservative, perhaps...

go fast in the smooth stuff and slow down before the turns and over the bumps

Need 6 more preregistrants to make it happen. Btw you don't have to prepay if you just want to sign up and put your name on the list. You'll just pay $5 more at the event

Go, its pretty damn fun. We had an old Acclaim (The All-Terrain Acclaim. we put a hood scoop and painted the wheels gold like an STI, lol) and it did surprisingly awesome. I haven't been since the TWW infiltrated, but i'm sure they didnt ruin it too terribly much.

That's exactly how i was. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go so I dragged Adam and Ray. Ray didn't want to drive since it was my civic. But we pressured him to. Once you go one time you'll be hooked. It's a small fee for some major fun. And you don't have to wait for it to snow just to get sideways and dirty.

I'm going to see how high i can get my car (its on coilovers) when it isnt wet and snowy outside. My exhaust is huge and hangs pretty low (I've been hitting snow with it). I would throw the stock suspension on but I gave it away 10 months ago. Didnt think I would need it .

naw, that rsx susp. would have never fit on a civ/integra.

i think i gave all my integra susp. away when i sold my blue integra. i dumped all of my parts in the trunk, good or bad i just wanted them outa the garage. and it worked well. he got a trunk load of crap. hah.

but yeah, jack the car up. and like H8R said, drive like you got some sense. there are plenty of guys out there driving wild, and its costs them a bit.

bump your air pressure above 40psi and you'll be good. just keep an eye out after every 2 runs or so to make sure you're not leakin air and you dont have grass and crap in your bead. if you do happen to de-bead, then there are like 2-3 guys there with manual tire machine that takes a few minutes to clean the rim out and you're good to go.

almost everyone goes slow the first time out. just to get the hang of it. usually before a few races we'll have a setup day in which you can come out, help setup and get rewarded by doing some testNtune laps on the field. that is a great way to test out what you have, and what you've done to the car.

The race is on sunday, setup will be on saturday, and most likely in the AM. Ill keep you guys posted.

from the THSCC message board:

Quote :
"

Anyone looking for a seat? Depending on the person Smile, I'd be willing to have a co-driver (first timers only need apply)."

if you're interested, PM me and ill give you his email. he's got an outback sport.
not sure if this offer is only for THSCC members, but its worth a shot, and usually covering the persons entry cost should be sufficient enough for them letting you drive.
