I'm trying to see this as a 300k+ neighborhood ... But it's really hard ...P.S. - If someone over-pays on a property because of its "potential", then they have already lost out on that potential. The buyer will have to wait for neighborhood restoration and market conditions to catch up so that they can sell it for what they paid for it, while the seller has already taken the cash for the "potential".[Edited on January 12, 2010 at 8:25 AM. I don't care. I just think it was funny you were trying to make $90k more than you did

I think greed would have led me to hold on to it. In a neighborhood with no comps i had to start somewhete. It was a good investment on my part and I made money while the majority of folks were losing money. Nothing greedy about that. For reference http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/601-W-Cabarrus-St-Raleigh-NC-27603/6389459_zpid/This is a new house a block away. Smaller lot. Not as nice. No garage. I'm not greedy[Edited on September 6, 2013 at 7:37 PM. Reason : K]
