the carrera diamond watch is obviously not an average TAG. I'm talking more about the quartz F1/aquaracer type.

Yeah, if you want a freaking base model Tag, sure you can get a Tag for $500. You can also get a Mercedes for $35k.

A good Tag that is not bottom of the barrel is going to run you at LEAST $1500.

I am sure you can find some good deals here and there, not saying it doesn't happen. But most quality Tags are not going to run you $500.

Nice collection, I love the Breitlings. Also love the Submariner.

I have a Rolex Datejust and love it. Got it for graduation. I plan to have it for many many years to come.

btw, you lose some watch cred for trying to pimp a Seiko

man, that seiko is my beater watch. I gotta say, it's a great watch for the price. I love the military dial . If you look at the lower left of the box, you'll also see a swatch watch my dad gave me when I was 11. That one is priceless.

Rolex is generally not known as a flashy brand. They're more conservative as far as their style. In fact, most of their models haven't had significant changes since the 60s. When I think of flashy, Breitling usually comes to mind.

agreed..but the prices i was finding on google were like $10K'ish.. can't see the average person paying that for a watch. most people think i'm crazy for some of the jeans i have..but i've had some of the same ones for like 6-7 years now and they still look new..

you can get a used one for a lot less than that. and they aren't worth anywhere near that in a lot of cases

I wore a Citizen before I purchased a Tag Aquaracer. No comparison - it's like flying first class. Very difficult to go back to coach after you've experienced better seating.

i agree - you folks are in sad shape if you thing Tag is a high-end quality watch. You probably think Rolex is a great watch too (almost 65% of them have to be returned to Rolex NY for repair within the first two years).

the only time i have ever really noticed a watch was that of one of my professors, who was always very well dressed, had a bright green plastic watch on with cartoon characters.

i never asked him about it or anything, but i imagine his kids gave it to him or something.
