12/26/2009 9:02:18 PM
maybe they are homos and they don't want to separate next year
12/26/2009 9:09:24 PM
I could believe heart problems being a reason. My brother also told me that their was a rumor that he had a cyst on his brain.
12/26/2009 9:17:52 PM
thats not a rumor, been known for a while

ok, so I am n00bing on myself here, but why are yall talking about Dick Sheridan?
12/26/2009 10:08:53 PM
He retired for 'health reasons' after several 9-3 seasons and whipping UNC 6 years in a row (I think) 6 out of 7 years. I never heard why he retired. But he's still alive and doing well, never to coach again.[Edited on December 26, 2009 at 10:18 PM. Reason : d][Edited on December 26, 2009 at 10:22 PM. Reason : stats]
12/26/2009 10:15:53 PM
this seems an awful lot like Larry Brown having "health problems" when he was with the Knicks. My bet, he takes a year off then Notre Dame throws the fucking FARM his way and he takes that job.
12/26/2009 10:23:18 PM
ND won't be able to afford 2 buyouts and a massive salary
12/26/2009 10:25:32 PM
^^^ scurvy
12/26/2009 10:27:38 PM
I bet Brian Kelly is kicking himself for not waiting a few weeks to take the ND job.

I honestly wonder who they will go after/get. IMO, as of RIGHT NOW, this is a much better and more prestigious job than ND. The only big up and coming coach, Kelly, is already spoken for. I don't see any of the big names leaving where they are. Boise St coach is the only one that really comes to mind. TCU coach maybe?
12/27/2009 12:38:43 AM
he'll be backcoaching is like t-dub, you cant ever completely give it up

They fell off the radar with Ron Zook. And they were still pretty decent. And if you care enough to hate them, you still care.
12/27/2009 1:53:05 PM
I hate them because their fans think they are entitled to greatness because of the past. They also don't realize that they are a hasbeen program that hasn't been relevant for decades. Just because I like to see them suffer, along with most sports fans, doesn't make them an elite program.
12/27/2009 1:55:57 PM
Hahhaha..Urban is back! Not stepping down but just taking leave of absence...
12/27/2009 2:18:23 PM
so it's a leave of absence now and not resignation.IT BEGINS
12/27/2009 2:18:48 PM
what is it with these Florida faggot coaches?
12/27/2009 2:19:04 PM
12/27/2009 2:21:21 PM
It really bothers me when someone changes what they're doing in life because of "faith." Like, great...you're going to abandon something you enjoy doing because you're not focusing enough on a myth. Now, if it was for health reasons, that's legitimate.
12/27/2009 2:22:50 PM
^I couldn't agree more.
12/27/2009 2:27:05 PM
^^I thought the same thing
12/27/2009 2:52:10 PM

i dont know why its so funny or hard to believe that a coach should retire when he is feeling that his heart s fuckin upthere have been a few coaches that keeled over due to heart problems, is it not manly or being a quitter when a dude is aware of his health?i saw the headline and my first thought was "good for him catchin that shit early and not tryna 'tuf' it out"its nothin to play with, its really not and i dont see what the ridicule is aboutfuck football, fuck recruits, if i felt my fuckin heart doin weird shit id stop fighting immediately (well id seek the advice of a cardiologist first) but id do what i gotta doi just noticed it was leave of absence, still hopefully his heart problems aint that bad...im just naive and take these guys at their word[Edited on December 27, 2009 at 3:25 PM. Or he was gang banging porn stars with Tiger Woods and he wanted to leave on his own terms before it became public.
12/27/2009 4:36:33 PM
what is it with UF coaches making an announcement to leave, then backing off of it the next day or 2? first Donovan says he's gonna head up the Magic, now this shit!?
12/27/2009 4:53:01 PM
now hes coming back, unbelievable...at least he worked up an excuse for what im guessing will be a shit season next year
12/27/2009 9:40:55 PM
why will it be complete shit?other than tebow and nelson leaving, they are pretty much returning nearly everyone on both sides of the ball. if they can get even decent QB play, they will still contend for SEC
12/27/2009 9:43:28 PM
^ you are leaving out a lot...Spikes, Dunlop, and James for exampleI dont think they will be shit as they are located in Florida so they will always have great talent
12/27/2009 9:45:27 PM
well im guessing that because meyer worked all this up. he knows what team he'll have next year better than anyone, and it FEELS like he has no confidence in it at all based on his reputation and how this is unfolding
