i'm having fun with this game. anyone try out multiplayer? its actually pretty hectic. this game seems A LOT harder than bioshock 1. big daddies are similar battles, but big sisters are crazy. i've died prolly more than 10 times once fighting a big sister.

I hate that the remote hacker is a weapon key...In a frantic fight with a big sister, I'll end up running out of ammo of one weapon and accidentally switch to it and fire a couple darts at it before I realize what I'm doing.

Beat it last night. Basically the game is Bioshock 1 with a few new plasmids, enemies, weapons, etc. Oh and multiplayer. I didn't find Lamb nearly as interesting as Ryan and Fontaine.^^Eh, it's not that hard if you plan ahead. Stay near a healing station and vending machine. Get some armor piercing rounds and heavy rivets. Use the camera (won't help the first time) and research her. Once she appears, it's shock -> shoot -> repeat. If you have turretts or sentry bots, it's even easier.By the third or fourth level you're so overpowered that the game becomes pretty easy. I recommend playing on Hard.

It took me several tries to beat the big sister on hard. My strategy ended up being tossing trap rivets everywhere then whittling her down with incinerate and heavy rivets.

I've gotten this from GameFly last week. I've played it decent amount (about a third of the game) but I've already shelved it. It is fun, but it feels tedious to play. Especially the whole having to harvest Adam from dead bodies. I like the story, the game play is good, and atmosphere is good, it burns me out too fast.I think it was a good rent, but not a good buy, for me at least.

Played PC version for 15 minutes last night. Overall impression, the gaming market is definitely shifting towards console gaming, with PC ports as an afterthought more than a serious design consideration.- Negative #1, You MUST sign into Windows Live to play this game ... even with the Steam version ... WTH? If you want me to sign in with an account to grab extra content, fine. I just paid $50, let me play the damn game. - Negative #2, I was forced to download and install the latest patch once I signed up, and before it would let me sign in. Patching is a good thing. Forcing me to download a patch before you'll allow to play a SINGLE PLAYER game is crap. Force the patch on multiplayer only.- Negative #3, Immediately found out the bind keys are still messed up, as my use key will allow me to search objects, but not take stuff out of them.- Negative #4, Similar issue with bind keys and hacking.- Negative #5, tried resizing the graphics options. It went to windows mode with a lower resolution even though I had specified in the options not to use windowed mode and the options showed windowed mode in use.- Positive #1, they definitely got the feel of the environment right. You know you are in Rapture.- Positive #2, storyline looks like it has potential.- Positive #3, the plasmids and weapons selection looks like it'll provide the same familiarity, but, different variety from Bioshock1.Would have preferred to wait for the PC version to drop in price before purchasing.

Finished the game ... 10-15 hours on single-player playthrough. I think I remember Bioschock1 being longer? All of the positives I listed earlier, ugh.- The environment was similar to #1, but NOTHING more. Why didn't they use the ocean into some more creative level design? Why not have more hidden goodies in Rapture (avoiding the security camera, putting the corpse into the incinerating and getting a plasmid out early in Bioshock1 was pure awesome). Bioschock1 had such a wow factor for how unique it was. This barely did anything to expand upon that.- Storyline could have been put into expansion for all it was worth. Excellent voice acting per usual, excellent writing, but, again, did little to expand or fill in the blanks from Bioshock1.- Plasmid / weapons were fun for a bit, then got old quickly and too many repeats from Bioshock1.Overall, disappointed I paid full price for this. If you have Xbox360, rent this for a weekend and don't bother purchasing. If you have a PC ... wait till it shows up for $20.
