So a common "issue" with the FT86 is a squeaky HPFP. They're known as "crickets" in the community. And its said that filling up with ethanol fuel cures this problem. So after driving around for a good 30-40 miles with my fuel light on I filled up 2 days ago at an ethanol free pump 3/4 mile from my office. It's only 90 octane but I thought I would give it a shot (manual calls for 93).Bad move. Yup, the lack of ethanol solved the problem of crickets! But at what cost? Well, thanks to the lower octane I can notice a slight power difference (I think) and my gas mileage isn't as good. The engine must really not like the lower octane rating
