^^he has dominated his conf. for the past two years but i agree overall; that is why i listed him as lower on what would be my list. i would still rather have a guy who has had success as a head coach than a coordinator/first time head coach; especially at a prestigious school like ND. That should never be someone's first head coaching job.

who gives a shit though? chuck amato's 3-9 team would prob win this conference.I dont see anyone being able to come from CUSA to a job like that. Skip needs to prove himself at a school that is a little bit better in stature before he would ever be considered for a huge job like this

^^^i agree but he is dominating his conference where he has equal talent to the other schools to slightly moreat ND he will have equal talent to slightly more in most of their games minus a couple every year (USC)not to say that makes a huge difference but at least you know he can win games when he has good talent compared to the opponents. they also have been competitive in other games where they were outclassed.[Edited on December 2, 2009 at 9:40 PM. ^^Meyer isn't going, Paul Johnson? I can't imagine the triple option at ND being very popular amongst fans. They better just go ahead and snap Kelly while they still can
12/2/2009 9:46:18 PM
since they can't get meyer they should get Charlie Strong if they were smart.
12/2/2009 9:48:56 PM
^^i know Meyer isn't going, that is why I said that is the order I would contact them and then stated I know some might not go, just the order I would contact themJohnson might would be a tough sell to some of their fans but his W/L loss record speaks for itself. He hasn't had but one recruiting class and is 10-2 and in the ACC title game. I certainly would take him here. I like TOB, I'm just saying.

Interesting. Brian Kelly apparently just finalized an extension with Cincy that includes a very healthy raise and buyout... that would mean no Notre Dame for him.I've also read that he was never on ND's short list because he has been outspoken pro-choice despite being Catholic... but that is just conjecture I think.I thought Kelly was a sure thing, so it should be very interesting to see where this goes. I will go on record saying I'm not sold on Meyer saying no yet... people will disagree with me vehemently, but I'm not willing to say the definitive answer is no... especially if he loses to 'Bama on Saturday.[Edited on December 3, 2009 at 11:52 AM.
