B-ball as a freshmanBong smoking through 4 years of high school I would have been a college scholarship worthy hockey player if I didn't quit before high school

Freshman: Jazz Band, GolfSophomore: Jazz Band, Golf. Quit golf because I hated it.Junior: Jazz Band, Marching Band.Senior: Jazz Band, Marching Band, fucked around on the tennis team because my favorite teacher was the coach. Team was atrocious. Also did National Honor Society and some other inconsequential clubs Junior and Senior year.I was a pretty good trombone player and had a duet part in my senior year. We played in Giants Stadium for a national competition, but fucked it up because it was so god damn cold. Jazz Band I was in the All-Region Jazz A Band Junior and Senior years. Made All-District once. Senior year I dropped off because I was working and didn't really care about playing anymore.Once I got to State I got into our Jazz A band, but dropped it after a semester because our band here operated with the mindset of playing 2 concerts a semester. High school band was paid to go out and play for business openings or dances, which was much more exciting.

OH i didn't include non-athletic stuff. i was (still am) so clumsy/non-athletic so i did more extracurriculars than sports. i was involved with national honor society, beta, environmental club, student council, speech & debate club, and a volunteer organization called students for social awareness. i was also in the city's youth council and worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor.

Football, wrestling, and track. I played in a rock band.Occasionally, I still play in a rock band. I was a pretty good linebacker--very aggressive and hard-hitting. But I'm a much better drummer.

Soccer was the only sport I played but I was pretty good at it.I was also in a shit load of clubs, including Future Soccer Moms of America, Guitar Club, French Club, Beta Club shit like that...I also took AP Art which required a lot of time doing murals around school and in the community.I was pretty much one of those all american kids that did everything.

I was a skater in hs, pretty good athlete too, but my parents thought i was a better employeeI had decent hand-eye coordination and was naturally good at most sports that piqued my interest.. i liked to tumble and flip but there was no outlet or team for it where i lived at so it was limited to jumping on and off of the trampolinei liked to dive (1m spring board) alsofreshman year, i'd grown 6" over the summer (i was 4'11" in 8th grade), i wanted to turn pro racing 4 wheeled ATV's and be a pro skater. got into weight lifting and wrestling (but we had no team, i attended a rival school's wrestling matches and tournaments). i was introduced to 4 square in freshman PE class. sophomore year, i grew 6" over the summer, once again, and wanted to play basketball (both my best friends were 6'4"), but i worked for my parents, so no team for me.. late night skate sessions and basketball games took up my free time. also started playing golf. more wrestling and weight lifting.junior year, skating was taking it's toll on my body so i was losing interest (7 years of learning how to fall), besides, i had a license, a job and got a car payment nowsenior year, tired of my parents' delegation of my life so i became wrestling team captain (first year we had a team), joined the golf team and ran track (pole vault) i fucking owned everyone at 4 square at my school. had a nice little basketball game but i couldn't wrestle and play basketball.. i still play basketball and could probably run circles around my 18 y.o. selfi started to play volleyball while at state and have made a real effort to learn the rules and develop a decent game i never liked to run but recently i have grown interested in finding my own limitsi can play ping pong with either handi'm decent at pool and dartsi still jump on the trampoline as often as possibleim better than average at golf, but it's expensive. i love to play though.i own a rally car and i can hold my own behind the wheeli don't own a tv, i'd rather do than watch.

I respect that some people didn't care enough about football to put in the work required in order to get big enough to play, but don't use that as an excuseI was 5'7" 140 and not all that fast[Edited on November 30, 2009 at 11:53 AM. Reason : x]

Just Cross Country. I became too self conscious to join swim team, although I had done so in my middle school years. I wanted to do JV football my freshman and sophomore year, but didn't want my parents to be "burdened" with paying for my uniform and other bullshit. I really did want to do it, but not with my parents money. I guess I've always felt too good for their money, hence I missed out on soccer and football.

Sports: Swimming & Tennis all 4 years with rec softballI was pretty decent at swimming, went to regionals my senior year. In my high school I was in the top 6 for singles in tennis, and top 3 in doubles.Sadly I'm not in the shape I was 10 years ago I swam for fun/exercise my first year of college then I was like eff that. I would like to go back to it because it was fun for me. I used to get together with some of you wolfwebbers to play tennis back in the day, and I still play around a little to this day. I play softball like 9 months out of the year.
11/30/2009 11:53:49 AM

We paid for our swim and tennis uniforms. My school/town only cared about football & basketball (and cheerleading because of those two sports), so those were the only sports that had uniforms provided.

I was in Radio Club, Improv Club, Drama Club, It's Academic (Maryland's version of Brain Games), Geek Club (gamers). Although I mostly did stuff outside of school, like stand-up at Goodnight's and improv at ComedyWorx.I had no athletic ability, nor the resources to become athletic. I envy most jocks.
11/30/2009 12:00:22 PM

11/30/2009 12:09:48 PM
No offense meant, DJEIts just that "I wasn't big enough" is such a common refrain from people who regret not playing high school football that it just becomes kind of tired after hearing it so many timesI wouldn't have played at all without steroids, personally
11/30/2009 12:09:49 PM
I wish I played football. set em up
