Ha ha Yankees fans. Talking shit all over the radio and on the web and you get your shit pushed in last night by Cliff Lee and Chase Utley. Maybe now you will respect the Phillies.Chase Utley is the fucking man and the trade for Cliff Lee was damn genius for Ruben Amaro.[Edited on October 29, 2009 at 9:42 AM. Reason : page 2]

That shit Mr E Nigma posted was probably the biggest dangled worm I've encountered as of late, and I'm fighting hard not to bite at it. It's a good thing Cliff Lee shut his Yankee-loving mouth last night. Haha.
10/29/2009 9:45:17 AM
There is a reason they play a "SERIES" of games. The Phillies will not win this series, i promise.
10/29/2009 6:02:25 PM
the yankees looked like they were drunk last night
10/29/2009 8:55:51 PM
I'm actually rooting for Pedro... and then some random bullpen schlub to blow it for him.
10/29/2009 9:17:44 PM
You'd think $a billion could build a ballpark that wasn't a fucking joke. not that other teams don't hit HRs too, but seriously.. build a new one..
10/29/2009 10:11:25 PM
uhhh....the old Yankee stadium had a short porch too. And the one Texeira hit would have gone out of every park in the league

10/30/2009 10:43:18 AM
^Haha, do yourself a favor and tell aaaall the future pitching prospects that. Whatever makes you feel better...Hey! At least your little retards won last night! They squeaked two whole runs by a 38 year old! Seriously, the hurt is gonna be brought on in Philly.
10/30/2009 10:55:06 AM
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ you right about that.
10/30/2009 11:04:58 AM
Good job last night Yanks! Now it's time to take the fight to Philadelphia! (also, don't feed the trolls)
10/30/2009 12:39:17 PM
10/30/2009 12:42:24 PM
Yanks won't change shit if they win the World SeriesAs for the Mets, you can have a closer high wall or longer short wallHaving both makes it a graveyard for hittersMove Left in by 20 feet, or cut the fence in half
10/30/2009 12:49:28 PM
Yanks just 2 wins from the promised land. I had them in 5...i think now it is probably 6, but it looks good
11/1/2009 9:41:09 AM
i wanna see a video of the ARod HR that hit a camera lensdid glass break lol
11/1/2009 11:40:36 AM
its stupid to bring back AJ on 3 days rest tomorrow. If the Yankees win tonight, I would punt game 5 with Gaudin vs. Lee, and attack Pedro with Burnette in game 6 and bring back CC in game 7.
11/1/2009 6:33:35 PM
^^ no glass break, you could hardly see the ball in the shot from that camera.
11/1/2009 9:57:36 PM
JOBA
11/1/2009 11:19:05 PM

11/1/2009 11:41:45 PM

11/1/2009 11:42:12 PM
im not a big baseball fan at all but can someone explain to me where the third baseman was on the the play with damon? I watched the replayed and i saw a guy run in from home plate but what the hell was he covering? where exactly was the 3rd baseman?
11/1/2009 11:43:29 PM
The shift was on?
11/1/2009 11:44:00 PM
They had him shifted in the gap on the first base side. Dumbass pitcher should have been covering. Ended up not really mattering though
11/1/2009 11:44:58 PM
Well that ending sucked.
11/1/2009 11:48:06 PM
Went to bed after the Phillies tied it up at 4. I figured they'd (P) win it in extra innings, and 5:30AM comes early right when it should for getting up for work. That stolen base Glad there was a reply. I wouldn't have believed a description.[Edited on November 2, 2009 at 8:06 AM. Reason : -]

The series is going pretty much how I thought it would (I said Yankees in 5 in my original post) but I think the Yanks are making a big mistake pitching AJ tonight and Pettite on short rest in 6.They should wing it with Gaudin/Acevas tonight and just save Burnette and Sabathia as the gauntlet for NY, with pettite available out of the bullpen to get lefties. I think this series goes 7 now.

Not the biggest baseball fan, but I'll watch the playoffs. In baseball are they likely to purposely lose a game just so they can win it on their home field? Maybe purposely is a bit strong. Let's say not try very hard to win it ASAP.I'm definitely the cynical type. In professional sports that have a series of games for each matchup during the playoffs I can't help but think they'd want to maximize the number of games in their stadium because more games = more revenue. In other words the Yankees will play to make sure the series will go 3-2, confident that they'd pick up at least one of the remaining home games for the win.[Edited on November 2, 2009 at 8:50 AM. 11/2/2009 8:47:23 AM
I think the Yankees would much rather drop the hammer and win it tonight, otherwise they wouldnt be trying to pitch their #2 pitcher on short rest.
11/2/2009 10:18:13 AM
yea i think they want to win it tonight and wrap it all up.
11/2/2009 10:44:12 AM
Mr. Scrumples....where are you?
11/2/2009 12:21:44 PM
waiting for Cliff Lee to win tonight before the Yankees win it in 6
11/2/2009 12:23:49 PM
That was a hell of a catch
11/2/2009 9:54:27 PM
If the Phillies had blown a 6 run lead tonight, they deserved to lose
11/2/2009 11:41:13 PM
well slap my ass and call me sally, AJ actually lasted longer than i thought he would but still was a horrendous outing by him. was a huge mistake using him last night especially when Girardi had to use Aceves for a portion of the game anyway. now we just have to hope Andy is ok for tomorrow night and can keep his composure and do what's necessary for a veteran to do.
11/3/2009 8:46:17 AM
If there is a Game 7, I wonder if Hamels will have his vagina sewn shut before the game starts?
11/3/2009 1:53:19 PM
tomorrow will be a slugfest. game seven could be, as well.

11/4/2009 9:06:06 PM
he just pulled a Beltran like whoa
11/4/2009 9:06:44 PM
Andy "the balker" Pettite seems to be putting himself in jams every inning. Gotta think that will catch up to him eventually in this game.
11/4/2009 9:30:17 PM
Matsui is a clutch motherfucker
11/4/2009 9:58:02 PM
damn that was a horrible play int he outfield. theyre just giving the game away at this point.
11/4/2009 9:58:23 PM
too little too late from Howard?
11/4/2009 10:11:08 PM
4 runs with 8 outs is asking a lot against the yanks
