I don't get these at all. Is it because I use NoScript? Or do I have malware and don't even know it
1/6/2010 11:47:53 PM
It keeps asking me if I'm sure I want to navigate away from the pagefucking annoying

Go and solicit ads from porn sites. I wouldn't mind seeing a fat ol' puss with the ads that are on here.
1/7/2010 8:39:13 PM
Hmm yeah definitely haven't seen anything like that. I guess I'm safe... for now
1/7/2010 9:14:41 PM
i took all the ads down
1/7/2010 9:37:04 PM
i put up the ads again. the owners disabled all but one of the ad networks, so the evil ads should be gone. i'll be honest with y'all, i'm not exactly confident in the advertiser's guarantee, so if anybody has a problem with ads, let me know ASAP so i can take them down again.
1/23/2010 10:11:03 PM
What the hell, bro?
2/20/2010 5:23:25 PM
^Well, obviously you are today's winner.
2/20/2010 5:36:05 PM
I clicked but it did not take me anywhere!
2/20/2010 5:39:22 PM
sorry about that. i've disabled the third party ad system again. anybody else gotten any sketchy ads lately?
2/20/2010 5:47:43 PM

3/4/2010 10:13:38 AM

3/4/2010 11:06:53 PM

3/18/2010 10:49:37 PM
After locking up firefox twice and going nuts once with the auto-rotate I finally had to put in some custom filters for ABP. Sorry guys... I don't mind the local ads (USuites or whatever) but some of the syndicated stuff is getting out of hand.
3/20/2010 4:07:11 AM
Yesterday I received one of those siezure inducing adds that rapidly flash and play the sound clip "CONGRADULATIONS! YOU'VE WON!"
3/22/2010 12:17:04 PM
Just got a "Congratulations! You've Won!" voice ad on the main page.

I use AdBlock and FlashBlock in Chromebut I also like SRWare Iron from http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php because it can actually block content (Chrome is developing this ability), and this is an easy way to do it, although it doesn't auto-update like the EasyList used by AdBlock: http://fanboy.co.nz/adblock/iron/For Safari 5, use http://safariadblock.com/ and Plugin Blocker: http://combsconnections.tk/extensions/index.phpFor Opera, use this solution: http://fanboy.co.nz/adblock/opera/and you can also block plugins from auto-loading with this Userscript: http://ruzanow.ru/userjs/allblock.jsFor Internet Explorer 8, fuck IE7Pro and follow this advice (it uses InPrivate Filtering): http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18156398bFor any browser, on any platform, this provides another layer of protection via your HOSTS file: http://pgl.yoyo.org/as/I like to use 0.0.0.0 as my redirection IP, like this: http://pgl.yoyo.org/as/serverlist.php?hostformat=hosts&useip=0.0.0.0&showintro=0&startdate%5Bday%5D=&startdate%5Bmonth%5D=&startdate%5Byear%5D=&mimetype=plaintextNote the "useip=0.0.0.0" there...just remember to add the lines

The fuck guys? I just turned on my computer and came straight to TWW. After about a minute, my virus scanner picks something up that was downloaded into:C:\Users\Matthew\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\6.0.458.1\0.8573572490686435.exeFucking identified as Unruy.D. IIRC, you suspended a guy for blocking ads, yet you give us ads and shit that infects our computers. What the fuck would you like us to do?
7/22/2010 6:44:20 PM
nobody has ever been suspended for blocking adsand what i would like you to do is provide some information that can be used to conclusively determine what you're talking about and where it might have come fromotherwise, there's no reason for me to believe it came from tww, nor is there anything i can do about it
7/22/2010 6:52:19 PM
haha, if people were suspended for blocking ads, then most of the active users would be permabanned.
7/22/2010 8:27:08 PM
^^^It came not from TWW but from an advertisernow see my post right above yours for a solutionit's called "Chrome AdBlock, FlashBlock, and an ad-blocking HOSTS file"
7/23/2010 11:38:04 PM
^ And I should not have to do any of that! The name of the thread is "I want Ads that don't set off my virus detection."When I come here, and my virus detection software picks up a virus, the blame lies on TWW. Regardless of where the virus is hosted, I am getting it from this site.^^ I didn't see the ad, as I have adthwart on my computer. All I know is that I came back home after 2 days of not using my desktop, I turn it on, and I came straight to TWW. I didn't visit anywhere else, and hadn't even opened a new tab yet.You know more about the ad services that you use than I do.
7/24/2010 11:25:54 AM
^whine whine whineyou can't keep TWW's ad network safe from hackers, and you can't make TWW use a more reputable ad network, but you *can* protect yourself from ad-borne malwaredo what you can
