Education Administrators
8/25/2009 6:25:28 AM
this is embarrassing...... In a thread about people who make 100's of millions of dollars, your putting up graphs about people who make $50-200k?
8/25/2009 7:57:25 AM
Well, when you make it part of your MO to never concede a losing point, you have to do something when you've been clowned as hard as he has.
8/25/2009 8:35:23 AM
^^ and ^ If either of you can prove that education administrators are not in the upper percentile of U.S. wage earners, feel free to do so. Otherwise you can STFU.^ And you can eat shit and die regardless, punk. How does it feel to be owned yet again?
8/25/2009 10:01:06 AM
" highest paid employees in the nation " <> "upper percentile of U.S. wage earners"Try again.Wtf does "upper percentile" even mean? Me thinks you suck something fierce in the math department.[Edited on August 25, 2009 at 10:11 AM. Reason : .]
8/25/2009 10:07:16 AM
^ You "suck something fierce in the [life] department," fuckhead. If you can't see from the information I've provided that education administrators are--in fact--some of the highest paid employees in the nation, then you're more of a dumbass than I thought. And "upper percentile" is just a figure of speech, doofus.Either prove me wrong or shut your stupid fucking cock hole.

^^ And it reflects the numbers in this graph. And, yes, I had an education professor at State who used to incessantly hammer home how making $80,000 a year put you in the top ten percent of wage earners (like it was a crime)--she was a far-left loon, too.And there's this:
8/25/2009 11:16:19 AM
Why do you guys expect hooksaw to understand math? His grasp of scientific and mathematical concepts has always been tenuous, at best. Just look at the global warming thread for more evidence of this.
8/25/2009 11:19:29 AM
8/25/2009 11:22:23 AM
Define what upper percentile is first you math challenged dipshit.

^ Yes, now you have it. Would you mind addressing the information in my post or are you just going to point and say "Doo-doo head," too?
8/25/2009 3:56:25 PM
Haha, I guess any percentile above the bottom .00000~01 could technically be and "upper percentile."I especially loved where hooksaw complained about name-calling.
8/25/2009 4:08:44 PM
^^you from earlier today in the healthcare thread:"You're obviously stupid. NC State does not require students to have health insurance, dummy."when he didn't happen to know that ncsu was in the minority of the unc system schools in not requiring health insurance for their students.

8/25/2009 4:12:40 PM
what's your definition of "upper percentile" if it isn't actually the top 1% since you want us to prove something?[Edited on August 25, 2009 at 4:15 PM. Reason : ^we just like to laugh when you complain about someone calling you names.]
8/25/2009 4:13:59 PM
^ See 2 above. Pay attention.
8/25/2009 4:14:47 PM
[Edited on August 25, 2009 at 4:17 PM. Reason : ^then why didn't you say that to begin with? oh right. because you're backpedaling.]and it's comedy gold when you say "25% as any rational person could see" and then post numbers where the highest paid 10% is the top category.[Edited on August 25, 2009 at 4:21 PM. Reason : .]
8/25/2009 4:16:47 PM
^ WTF are you babbling about? I have maintained that education administrators are some of the highest paid employees in the nation--and I've proved it here over and over again. What am I backpedaling about, liar? (1) I'm only addressing you and a couple others because you just came into the conversation. And (2) all you're doing is trolling--none of you can prove me wrong and you know it. You just can't stand it, though, so now you're just flinging shit. And there's always this:
8/25/2009 4:24:52 PM
i'm just making fun of you for saying that 25% = 1%. and claiming that it should be obvious to everyone else.top percentile (ie what percentile actually means. 1%) is $350,000 + according to the us census bureau in 2005.and this website shows median salaries for education administrators for secondary and elementary schools as topping out around $100,000 per year (with 20 years experience):http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Education_Administrator,_Elementary_and_Secondary_School/Salary[Edited on August 25, 2009 at 4:30 PM. Reason : .]
8/25/2009 4:27:23 PM
^ You came up with 1%--it has no meaning in this discussion.Try to focus:Median personal income (annual) for U.S. population over age 25 (full-time): $43,317Median annual wage for Education Administrators, Elementary and Secondary School: $80,580 Median annual wage for Education Administrators, Postsecondary: $80,670
8/25/2009 4:30:45 PM
are you just saying that they make more than average now? i'll agree with you there.but you'll have to address:
8/25/2009 4:32:11 PM
1. Education administrators do make too much, but their salaries don't even begin to compare to CEO pay.2. Suggesting that education administrators need their compensation investigated is silly because we already know their salaries. It's a matter of public record.3. Suggesting the House Committee on Energy and Commerce should limit the pay is also silly since education administrators are state employees, and their pay is already limited by their respective states.4. "Upper percentile" is not a figure of speech. That's just a brief summary of all the points that hooksaw is continuing to ignore in this thread. Instead, we're getting treated to arguments that include the words, "stupid fucking stooge who never does anything but talk out of his ass" and "eat shit and died in a house fire, you bald-headed idiot troll fuck."
8/25/2009 4:37:25 PM
1. The latter part of that sentence is irrelevant. It's not what's being argued. (And the former is a normative statement and is unprovable.)2. I didn't call for an investigation. I simply sarcastically questioned whether there would ever be a call for an investigation and salary limits by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce--I did this to make a point.3. And? Private companies set their own salaries, too. What gives the House Committee on Energy and Commerce the right to force companies to limit their executives' compensation? Because of federal money? Educational institutions also receive all sorts of federal money.4. Yes, in this context it is. I was simply using the expression in a nonliteral way--if you don't like it, I don't really give a good goddamn. ^^ I already did--read or piss off.
8/25/2009 4:49:54 PM
Why are we equating salaries less than $200,000 with salaries greater than $2,000,000?
8/25/2009 5:45:46 PM
^ 1. Who the fuck is "we"? 2. My position was and is clear:
8/25/2009 6:04:07 PM
Education administrators don't come closeAverage Chancellor salary, 238,341http://swz.salary.com/salarywizard/layouthtmls/swzl_compresult_national_ED03000017.htmlAverage CEO salary of the S&P 500 15.2 millionhttp://www.forbes.com/2007/05/03/ceo-executive-compensation-lead-07ceo-cx_sd_0503ceocompensationintro.htmlSince you're math challenged, I did the ratio for you, that is 63.77 times what Chancellors make. And since you'll probably cry that I picked a bubble year, we can go back to 2006 where the stock options weren't as valuable and see it was still 8.7 million, a paltry 36.5 times.
8/25/2009 6:13:59 PM
also Your comparing education administrators that probably have some graduate degree or education to the gamut of american workers, a large portion of which are not educated. A better comparison would be education administrators to other workers with similar education.Im not saying that makes the administrators any more competent or productive than an uneducated worker, but in most cases people with a higher education are going to make more money.
