^yeah, but not the first one. At least that's the way I kind of see it, but I might be weird.I'm sure we'll splurge in 10 years and etc...

You just set the bar way too high for the rest of your life. If you'd gotten that maternity dress it'd be easy to top next year.

Did NOT think of it that way. That's really good point actually...I don't know. Never really went all out before, and maybe got a little zealous. She's worth it though.Notice that this is the "New at Marraige" thread?

It's like flowers. You buy them once, and the woman will get pissy forever if she doesn't get them on the regular. And when you do buy them for her she accuses you of screwing someone else behind her back. That's why I'd avoid the $2.5k watch while you are away. She might think it's guilt for something you did. Especially because she's pregnant and super hormonal.

^ Only if she is a high-maintenance bitch.I would be furious if my husband dropped that kind of $$ on a friggin' watch. But you know her and we don't. As for the whole clock thing - you can give her time instead - maid service or spa trips = time for her, which will be in short supply once the kid arrives.[Edited on August 27, 2009 at 9:12 PM. Well she's not high maintenance, but she likes thoughtful gifts. One time we were at a nice restaurant and she said she could use a nice watch for her nice dresses.

give her $2500 watchif she does not like return, get $500 watch, and $1000 maternity clothes, $1000 babysitting

^^ Well, the looking for the real reason the flowers are given I haven't seen to much of, but the complaining about not getting them is definitely common. I try to avoid having friends that too into making guys buy them things, but have heard many stories.

just as a rule of thumb - when it comes to anything relationship-wise - ignore lewoodsactually just ignore her all together - unless it's purely for entertainment purposes

It's ok Omar, we all know you are jealous because you got suckered into buying a ring and wedding and I won't make my boyfriend do that.
8/28/2009 1:54:06 PM
It's ok lewoods, it makes sense to me.She got the watch today and as predicted: , then the question of "When are you coming home so that we can ?":-D

Alright,Now she's going back to again...
8/31/2009 11:23:30 PM
