^the cost of the iphone is cheaper, but have you looked at the iphone individual plan price compares to SERO?
9/9/2009 1:05:07 PM
^true but it's not the "iphone plan", it's just the AT&T plan. Everyone thinks there's some "iPhone plan". Same plan as any other smartphone/BB on AT&T.

Hehehe ... I love Sprint. Now I can call ANY mobile number ANY time on ANY network for FREE.So let's see then ... my $70 Everything Data Plan (450 mins, unlimited Text/Data/MMS/SprintTV/Telenav Navigation) PLUS unlimited mobile-to-any-mobile. http://anymobile.sprint.com/Dayum. You pay $150+ for the same at AT&T with an iPhone, well, except that MMS isn't currently working, and actually, you have to pay more for the GPS Navigation software and subscription.Plus I have a Palm Pre.[Edited on September 10, 2009 at 10:14 AM. so how is that you can call anybody anywhere any time for free, but you only have 450 minutes?
9/10/2009 10:25:26 AM
it's 450 anytime minutes with unlimited mobile to mobile (any carrier)
9/10/2009 10:28:48 AM
I guess that 450 is for calling to landlines. I'd still rather have SERO though.

I just got a blackberry tour on verizon... love it so far.

Correct, when the person you love is a flight attendant and she loves her iPhone, you need unlimited minutes, or even Pick 3 (which I now have). And no, I won't switch to AT&T, I dislike their pompous attitude and high-priced/low-quality wireless service. When we asked what we could do to lower the price on her plan, they told her to switch to Sprint and not ask them to lower her price.I do, however, like their broadband service in my house.
9/10/2009 12:57:13 PM
pretty much a fail
9/10/2009 1:34:15 PM
I guess i have never noticed the poor service of AT&T living in a larger city. Never had a single dropped call or less than one bar of reception. AT&T is also adding HSPA 7.2 to Charlotte which makes me happy for tethering. What's the speed with EV-DO on sprint? 3.1? I haven't kept up to date on wireless standards.
9/10/2009 2:23:41 PM
The Palm Pre still has excellent tethering support through the use of a Homebrew app.http://forums.precentral.net/homebrew-apps/191213-my-tether-tether-over-wifi-usb-bt.html

my ev-do in greenville is 1-2 megabit.I had FF500 for 31-32 bucks a month with pick three. I tried to snake unlimited calls through google voice, but I was burning up too many minutes when ensemble didn't credit me for mobile2home whenever i was roaming (which is a lot).I went back to FF1250 for ~ $55 (I need to put TEP back on...) but work pays 30/month for it.[Edited on September 12, 2009 at 11:44 AM. http://www.networkworld.com/community/node/45155Weird for sprint CEO to praise iPhone. Saying it's in a different category as the pre.
9/13/2009 1:10:57 AM
So....I now have a Sprint Touch Pro 2 (for $99...no rebates needed) and the unlimited mobile to mobile any carrier (had to drop SERO, but it costs the same with corp. discount). I vote Sprint.
9/18/2009 7:45:40 AM
ok spill the beans on how you got the TP2 for $99
9/18/2009 9:08:13 AM
I'm tempted but god I hate windows mobile which you're supposed to receive a free upgrade to 6.5 in a few weeks. Then the Storm 2 is right around the corner along with a few android devices. oh decisions decisions

signed up at rx.sprintshops.comHeard about it at FatWalletbasically, it is a sprint shop for Remax employees. They didn't do any kind of verification when I spoke with the live online customer service. The TP2 isn't listed on the phone list, so definitely ask the live customer service. They are selling the TP2 for $199 w/ $100 rebate, but they just did $99 outright for me (that one was weird). The catch is, you have to open a new line of service. My SERO line was out of contract, so I just opened a new line, cancelled the SERO line, and ported my old phone number to the new line. Hope you can get in on the deal I did. Good luck!

also sprint has an everything plus employee referral program. You can get the $69 Everything Data Any Mobile with 50 extra minutes for only $59.99go to http://sprint.com/everythingplus and enter russ.s.mcguire@sprint.com for the email and 383 for the code.
9/18/2009 9:56:37 AM
^^ when you say you opened a new line...is that a new SERO line b/c i thought they no longer offer SERO for new customers/lines^ i thought the consensus here was that if you already have SERO, sticking with SERO is better than the new ERP plan
9/18/2009 1:00:59 PM
Well that's if you already have the Sero plus you're able to get the pre and the touch pro 2 on the new one.
9/18/2009 1:06:30 PM
For the new line I had to drop SERO and moved to the Everything Data 450 for $56.00 w/ Remax Employee discount. Not bad since I don't really use all 1250 minutes that SERO was giving me and I get the navigation too. SERO is not eligible for unlimited mobile to mobile, so there was the trade off. Don't regret the decision at all.
9/18/2009 2:08:32 PM
i guess i'm in a different boat since I have the SERO 1250 and I pay $50 before discounts and I do use up all 1250 mins a month....the Pre will not work on SERO but the TP2 does, the TP2 is the one I'm trying to getnot sure what you mean by "eligible for unlimited mobile to mobile".....
9/18/2009 10:05:10 PM
I just got a TP2 and I had to pay $350 for it. i'm sure if you wait,, sprint will eventually lower the price to $199 since that's what verizon is selling the phone for. I just couldn't wait because i'm goinf out of country soon and need the phone to use.
