NiceIn the last game of the 1999 season, why were the Panthers running up the score on the New Orleans Saints ?
6/24/2009 9:10:48 AM
because we had to outscore the Packers in a ridiculous playoff race
6/24/2009 9:11:07 AM
I remember everything about that first GB playoff gameOne of those childhood memories that I will never forget
6/24/2009 9:12:54 AM
this guy knows his stuffIn a 2002 game at Minnesota, why did Mike Tice not shake John Fox's hand after the game ?
6/24/2009 9:14:26 AM
i'm assuming you're talking about the 96 NFC Championship, which was our 2nd game.the playoff race slave famous is talking about was when the tiebreaker came down to points forced in week 17 and both the Packers and the Panthers had an eye on the scoreboard the entire game, trying to run it up. theres a phenomenal youtube video of it out there.
6/24/2009 9:15:41 AM
^^ hahahe thought we ran up the score.[Edited on June 24, 2009 at 9:17 AM. Reason : .]

During the 2001 season, who set the panthers record for most single game rushing yardage, against what opponent, and how many yards did he gain ?
6/24/2009 9:52:42 AM
Wow, no clue. But I hope it was Timunga Biakabatuka.
6/24/2009 9:54:10 AM
so this thread is random sports trivia, eh? i ain't the smartest man in the world, but i can definitely sense a pattern here....
6/24/2009 9:54:43 AM
in 2001? thats a tough one if you really are talking about our 1-15 season. verify 2001 plz
6/24/2009 9:56:14 AM
yes 2001, 1-15, 15 straight losses, Weinke as QB, etc
6/24/2009 9:56:52 AM
im thinking it was biakabituka against the redskins, when he had two touchdown runs of something around 65 adn 73 yards in one game. this was a home game @ ericssonthough the darkhouse choice could be richard huntley[Edited on June 24, 2009 at 10:01 AM. Reason : .]
6/24/2009 9:58:37 AM
that was at washingtonand wasn't that season
6/24/2009 10:01:10 AM
no, biakabituka scored those two runs at home. i remember them clear as day.
6/24/2009 10:01:47 AM
October 3rd, 1999look it up
6/24/2009 10:03:06 AM
ok yes.i remember this now...it has to be in fact, richard huntley. because we ran the ball a zillion times in the POURING rain against the patriots in the final week of the season, capping our 1-15 run.
6/24/2009 10:06:42 AM
It is Huntley168 vs NE in the last game of the seasonWas supposed to be the second game, but got bounced back due to 9/11
6/24/2009 10:07:08 AM
and that game takes the cake for the most miserable, lowly, experience of my sporting career. sitting in the stands in that final game in the cold pouring rain. no other thing like it.TA's TD reversal at UNC comes close, but the panthers patriots game in 2001 was the most awful, worthless, helpless, pathetic feeling i've ever had.
6/24/2009 10:09:04 AM
Everyone remembers the Chris Gamble fuck up on the punt return vs Minnesota a few years back, aka the Bill Maas gameWhat unconventional way did Minnesota score on the ensuing possession to tie the game ?[Edited on June 24, 2009 at 10:18 AM. Reason : x]
6/24/2009 10:18:04 AM
sorry, had a meeting.they ran a fake FG
6/24/2009 10:40:27 AM
I thought that rushing yardage record got broken in the last game of the season at ATL a few years back when we went to the wildcat and just took weinke off the field
6/24/2009 10:55:44 AM
It did, but the Huntley record of 168 was the new record at the time; it has been since broken numerous times by Deangelo, Davis, and maybe even Deshaun
6/24/2009 10:57:20 AM
deshaun broke it @ atlanta in 2005. i went to that game, it was awesome. we won 44-11
