I take back what I said in another thread about Shaq being a terrible trade for the Cavs.Since his contract expires after next season, they can go after Bosh like I was hoping for.Not a bad deal at all.
6/25/2009 8:15:58 PM
Any cavs fan should really try to enjoy this seasonbecause next seasonLebron will bolt, Shaq will retire and it doesnt really matter if they win it all or not
6/26/2009 2:08:38 PM
Reports are Rubio is meeting with T'wolves officials to discuss future...he has offers from European countries to playlol

well they came out and said they had no plans of including curry in any deal, so take that for whats it worth. the way i heard it, they planned on including that draft pick until curry fell into their laps. they thought he'd go sooner so him being available has in turn thrown off the whole deal.

amare plays NO defense

imagine how big those chairs are
6/30/2009 12:12:41 PM
6/30/2009 12:32:01 PM
just imagine how many injuries Yao would have if he didn't play softer than Chris Webber
6/30/2009 1:05:52 PM
michael curry out as pistons coach
6/30/2009 2:07:45 PM
^^Yao doesn't play soft.
6/30/2009 3:14:23 PM
sure he doesnt! he also has no concept of rebounding.
6/30/2009 3:31:57 PM
You have no idea what you're talking about.
6/30/2009 4:18:03 PM
sure i don't. how does a man, who's 7'5", have a career avg. of less than 10 boards a game?
6/30/2009 4:21:58 PM
6/30/2009 5:37:53 PM
He's stiff, not that quick, and not athletic. He gets almost every rebound that is within reach. But the fact that he has limited mobility has as a lot to do with his low rebound averages...not the fact that he plays soft, because he doesn't.Watch more basketball and offer your opinion.
6/30/2009 5:45:49 PM
yes, being that height and preferring to fade away or take jumpers from the elbow certainly isn't soft, right?
6/30/2009 5:51:53 PM
once again jbrick shows his ignorance
6/30/2009 5:58:10 PM
looks like the cavs are going to sign villanueva nowwith shaq on board and now charlie to boot that could be a great team next yeardelontemobroncharlieshaqthat's a nasty lineup for what was already the best team in the east last year
7/1/2009 12:14:21 AM
*Pistons pursuing Ben Gordon*Knicks/Mavs trying to get Kidd*Spurs/Suns interested in Odom*Nuggets want Grant Hill*Bobcats thinking about AI*Lakers pushing to sign Odom/Ariza*Celts would love to move Allen, Big 3 account for 93% of cap*KG wants Sheed to join him*Spurs looking at SheedThis is an interesting offseason BUT NOTHING LIKE NEXT YEARS IS GOING TO BE
7/1/2009 2:39:30 PM
Damn that is alot of possible theories, but your right next year will be amazing. I really think the Spurs are trying to get some high octane in their system. I don't think Sheed is quite a fit, but would add some toughness. Odom with the spurs would be damn near amazing IMO: Parker, Ginobli, Jefferson, Duncan, and Odam...I mean really!!!And if Celtics get Sheed, I see Allen probably gone. I would not take that trade. Pierce/Allen/KG >>> Pierce/Sheed/KG.Oh yeah...and the Bobcats need to leave AI wherever he lands. No good in Charlotte!!! III[Edited on July 1, 2009 at 3:01 PM. Reason : ]

I'm just saying that if you watched more you'd see that he's probably the best low-post scorer in the league. So what that he can score well from the outside?? That doesn't change the fact that he gets the bulk of his points in the paint and just straight up beasts people on the inside. Shaq is pretty much the only guy that he doesn't push around...but he's still been getting the best of that match-up for the past few years. He dominated Dwight Howard both times they went head-to-head this year, heavily out-scoring and out-rebounding him.I'll say it again...you don't know what you're talking about. Along with Shaq and Howard, he's one of the strongest players in the league and definitely not soft.
7/1/2009 5:11:16 PM
physical strength =/= playing aggressive. so about his rebounding, if he's always "beasting" people in the paint as you say, why doesn't he get more boards? maybe i should watch more basketball.
7/1/2009 5:12:32 PM
the Raps are looking at paying Turkoglu $60 milly for 5 years; Portland is also interested in TurkyI think he's over-rated though...and I'm a Magic fan.
7/1/2009 6:01:59 PM
^^You mean why did he out-rebound the best rebounder in the NBA in their head-to-heads??I explained earlier why he doesn't have huge rebound numbers...and it's not because he's soft. Just because you aren't a great rebounder doesn't make you "soft." Are Karl Malone and Shaq softer than Dennis Rodman?? Because he averaged several more rebounds over his career than they did.And yes...you do need to watch more basketball.
7/1/2009 6:09:30 PM
One thing is for sure: The bones in his feet are soft as fuck!
7/1/2009 6:16:20 PM
they're 2 different arguments. sure he out-rebounded Howard head-to-head, but averaged nearly 5 less boards per game on the season.

The hell I don't. LISTEN KID. I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I'm out there busting my buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes.
7/1/2009 10:47:15 PM
its BEN nice ben gordon.
7/1/2009 10:55:50 PM
Detroit dun goodGordon and Villanueva
7/1/2009 11:38:30 PM
dont know what to think of this, dumars put a lot of cash into gordon, he is great, but i find this risky... go pistons
7/2/2009 12:16:47 AM
Maybe it's just my lack of knowledge about the NBA, but why exactly does Detroit need another 2 guard? Rip Hamilton was pretty damn good last time I checked. It seems like they would have been better off getting another PG or big man. Of course, I don't know why I expected a logical move from the team that traded Billups for Iverson. [Edited on July 2, 2009 at 12:22 AM. Reason : .]

they traded billups for cap reasons

PLEASE L.A., PAY ARIZA!!!!! Ariza> Artest
7/2/2009 11:24:19 AM
I see Ariza as GGGOOOONNNEEEEEE!!! III
7/2/2009 11:52:00 AM
Rockets supposedly in trade talks about Bosh, and trying to move T-Mac.Sheed interested in Spurs, Celtics
7/2/2009 1:51:35 PM
goddamnit, finally get out of the first round and now thisbosh would be awesome, but we need a perimeter player too.(rockets, if not obvious)
7/2/2009 9:22:21 PM
well artest signs with lakers..... lol that could either work out great for LA, or it could backfire... artest is a great defender, but he's always just a play away from causing a shit storm.i think ultimately it's a good move for LA.. which sucks because i hate la and kobe
7/2/2009 9:49:53 PM
i dont know what to think and i wont be able to figure this out until the regular season starts. L.A. pretty much swapped artest for arizaL.A. now has a window of 3-4 years where they can win a championshipArtest is defintely more NOW than ariza but ariza was their futurethis kills me
7/3/2009 12:13:04 AM
Crazy move. Artest could kill that team chemistry and is getting older and slower.^Yes he is better than Ariza, but that may not last long because Ariza is getting better.
7/3/2009 1:38:15 AM
I don't give a shit how good Ariza is going to get...I don't think he'll ever reach the level that Artest is at...even while he is declining. Artest is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. Fuck...the Lakers are a shoe-in to repeat now (unless they have an NC State-like injury bug).[Edited on July 3, 2009 at 3:08 AM. Reason : .]
7/3/2009 3:07:51 AM
Rockets and Ariza agree to termsI'm not a big fan of this move for him right now. He should have stayed in LA or gone to Cleveland where he could play off of star players and get open looks through lebron/kobe collapsing defenses. I don't understand why the Rockets would be happy with a 9 pt 5 board stat line from that guy. He wasn't shit before LA (Orlando experiment) and he will no longer be shit (Houston).
7/3/2009 10:22:24 AM
These signings have been flat out awful this year. No one has cap room and there aren't any stàrs available but its a very deep group of established veteran free agents...So why are people panicking and blowing their wad on shitty players like villanueva? Detroit overpaid dearly and locked themselves into a marginal team for years to come. So pissed at the bobcats for blowing all their cap space on scrubs like nazr, diop, and vlad... Without being prisoner to that garbage we could add rasheed, and artest. And if we hadn't panicked for richardson we could buy an entire starting lineup for gods sake.So incompetent.
7/3/2009 3:40:43 PM
Its already over. Artest is the best defender in the league and now the Lakers can lock down 4 positions every game and Kobe can take an easier assignment=more energy while artest shuts down the best wing scorer on the other team(melo/pierce/carter/lebron). Also the tough leadership and winning attitude artest takes where he goes will bode well for the lakers. Shaq is bad for the cavs. Maybe even a worse fit than the suns because they won't be able to run and get lebron driving before the defense sets as long as shaq is on the floor his man will just help before shaq can catch up. Playing at a slower pace will just clog the lane for lebron since shaq can't hit 15 footers. A west or bosh would've been great for them but now I'm certain they won't make it past orlando/boston.
7/3/2009 4:03:58 PM
Turkoglu to the Blazers RaptorsNow they have to fill their roster with minimum earners and lose Chris Bosh in 2010. All that for a 30-something swingman
