^oh I know. I'm being a smartass. But what's the difference if they're hanging into the passenger seat of the 'vette or the back seat of the G35. Unless you never take them out of your car, so what?

I got hosed today but ended up making out in the end. Here's the story (WORDS):

Called this guy (we'll call him Bob) the other day responding to a Craigslist add. Bob was trying to sell a 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe with 36k miles for $14,500. Squeaky clean history and the car is in excellent condition.

Bob recently bought an M5 from the Lambo dealer in Greensboro but Bob didn't like the trade in value the dealer (we'll call him Steve) was offering. Steve then tells Bob that he will keep the G35 at the dealership and will give Bob a couple weeks to sell his G35. Bob would be allowed to keep anything over the trade-in value for the car.

I called Bob yesterday so I could take a look at the G35 at the dealership today. I called the dealership this morning (Steve anwered) to make sure everything is in order and they said the car is ready for me to test drive anytime before 7pm.

Steve then calls me back a couple hours later to tell me that things have changed. Apparently the owner of the dealership (we'll call him Douchebag) decided that they should hold onto the G35 to sell it. Steve tells me that Douchebag was going to give Bob more than trade-in value so that they could keep the the car. They wouldn't be able to sell me the car for $14500 and couldn't go less than $16500 (before tax and tags).

Steve tells me that he feels like a jackass and should have sorted this mess out earlier. He apologized and told me he felt really bad. In fact, Steve felt so bad that he is going to let me testdrive a Lambo and "buy me a hotdog or something" (haha) the next time I was in Greensboro.

I get hosed by Douchebag but, in the end, I get to test drive a Lambo and get a free hotdog. I tried contacting Bob again so I could offer more than Douchebag (still probably ~$14500). I am now awaiting a call-back.

Just bought a gray 2003 G35 coupe with 36k miles and not a scratch/dent/blemish to be seen inside or out for 16k (out the door cost).

Paid private party value and bought it from the Lambo dealer in Greensboro (same one as described above...haha). I could of got it $1000 cheaper if the story above panned out but I got a good deal anyway.

^^So I'm guessing you're talking about the same G35 coupe in both posts?

And did you test drive a Lambo? And if you did, did you rip into it? I sure would!
