I'm in the science field and I personally have seen every Disney princess movie 10+ times over the course of my life. Especially the Little Mermaid.

It's all about parenting -- don't blame it on the media.

wolfchica, i think the point you've originally made that girls are stupid and simple enough derive their goals in life from princess stories is infinitely worse for your cause than anything else, and if there is anyone to talk about such things, it should not be you.
