That's a bullshit situation dude, she totally set a trap for you. If she gets that pissed off over something so trivial, then she isn't worth the time; if you spent more time with her she'd probably end up doing it a lot more. Also, for future reference, if you are not in a relationship with either of them you don't owe either of them an excuse for you dating other people. I believe that you should always be honest, and if they can handle it, great, if not, they are just deluding themselves. His response was fine. It's how he felt. If you make it clear from the first moment that you are going to be honest, then a person can't get mad at you for not lying and sugar coating things.

My last girlfriend and I were in bed one evening and she asked me if I thought she was smart. The truth was, she wasn't a very bright girl. I'm a pretty intelligent guy, so I think she was asking because she knew I respected intelligence. I told her that I didn't think she was. I explained a little more than that, but that was basically how I broke it down.

I don't think she was happy, but I told her in advance to never ask questions she didn't want answers to. And for the record, no, that is not why we broke up, before anyone asks.

People know the truth about themselves in life, even when they want to hear a lie. This girl knew she was big, or whatever the word you want to use to describe it. Jeffrey not saying, "Oh, no, baby, you look perfect..." is a good thing, not some stupid move on his part. If he started saying this kind of stuff now, he'd have to keep it up forever or there would be a problem.

Not so much because I'm debating whether to lie or to bludgeon her with the truth, but because it's a sobering reminder that a girl being simultaneously intelligent, attractive, fun, and single is a scientific impossibility. I can easily find three of the four and these beget medium-length, pseudo-satisfying relationships, but they all come crashing down at some point.

I've maintained that the first girl I meet that satisfies those four qualities will be the girl that I marry.

almost all women are insecure about their appearance. Jeffery needs to get better at dealing with that. TWW seems to think that you're required to lie to comfort your date. But you obviously were attracted to her, so there's no need to lie! If your date says something about how she's "heavy," then you should tell what you told TWW - "I think you look great" or "I think you're pretty." That would be the truth, and it would put her in a good mood and reasure her that you are attracted to her. Nobody can read minds, she doesn't know your opinion of her unless you tell her.

But I do think she overreacted and it was a sign of bad things to come. just giving some advice for future dates
