I definitely sleep better by myself than when my wife's in bed with me. I once proposed getting two double beds for the master bedroom and we could alternate which bed we had sex on.that idea failed.

Back when I had someone to share a bed with I kinda felt the same way. One thing that helped me get more comfortable was picking a side of the bed and sticking to it. Even when you're not spending the night at her place, sleep on "your" side of the bed. Many years removed from sleeping nightly with somebody, I still sleep on the right side of the bed. It does mean I have to flip my mattress more often then I otherwise would, and it also means I simply cannot get a good night's sleep on the left side of the bed. Also I don't know if you have pets that sleep on the bed, but that might get you subconsciously acclimated to sleeping comfortably with someone else.

^ My dog got banished to her own nest box when I moved into my sig. other's room (we were roommates beforehand). Definitely helps in the human-dog relationship. I have my bed, she has hers, and doesn't climb into ours. Practically speaking, Beagle was taking up way too much bed for her size- the dog is only 22 pounds, and it's kinda awkward having sex in the bed with the dog there to worry about. Beforehand she was getting kicked off to the floor and whining.
