Most TVs nowdays have an info tab in their settings that shows how many hours are on the backlight. You might get lucky - they rotate their displays more than you'd think. I snagged a 22" HP monitor from CC not too long ago that was a display and only had about 150 hours on the backlight.

I mean, they turn them off when the store is closed. It's not like they are ALWAYS on, and yeah they do get rotated.

if circuit city was a better business people would have shopped there. they decided to go with the lowest level of employees and some of the higher prices for the same junk other stores sell. no sympathy for CC.

yeah they should have carved out a niche for having better shit (higher end) and better service.

best buy had already brought the "wal-mart" effect to electronics retail and it was working quite nicely for them.

They had crappy land locations to. I never realized there was a circuit city in crossroads until about a month ago

Odd that every circuit city i go to hashad a crap location.

Winston salem -> crap location
crabtree raleigh -> crap location
glenwood raleigh -> crap location

The locations are good the access is just always shitty. The one in charlotte in the mall is decent. Kind of hard to screw that up.

Doesn't help that nearly every Circuit City I knew of was within less than a mile of a Best Buy. I'm sure that both companies did that on purpose though... I guess.
