the fact that you put rockford and higher end in the same sentence is what i found humorous.

I totally hear ya, I'm not a huge fan of Rockford, except for their amps. I've had a few of theirs pound for years with no hiccups. However if kdawg(c) goes to 99% of places that sell car audio, Rockford will usually be the most "expensive" thing on the shelf. Not saying they're a good brand, or any better than most other brands out there. I just meant that the RCA's utilizing the "twisted pair" technology was ROCKFORD's higher end cable.[Edited on January 13, 2009 at 10:21 AM. Reason : .]

new carpet is in! i had to trim it to fit the car, around the console area...took a little too much off, but you can't see it unless you are sitting in the driver's seat and look between the console and the seat...all of the wires for the stereo/sub/amp are done, so all I'm doing is waiting for the stereo and i'll have a normal car again...

i've never really found that great of deals at a liquidation. the problem being is a liquidation company actually purchases all the merchandise and set the prices. i got better deals at Tweeter before they went into a liquidation sale. before the liquidation i could at least bargain my way to a better deal.

car stereo install was flawless...sounds really good...I just need some better fasteners for my speakers so they don't rattle when the bass kickson another, disappointing note, when I put a cd into the HU, a dozen rapid clicks could be heard, then nothing....the front panel displayed ERROR... so I tried ejecting the disc...more clicking and then it finally ejectedI called crutchfield, and they are sending a new HU to me tomorrow, to be delivered next week
