BTW--since I'm sure you don't know this--Caroline Kennedy recently hosted the annual Kennedy Center Honors, which honored the likes of Barbara Streisand, Morgan Freeman, George Jones, choreographer Twyla Tharp, and Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey of the Who. Kennedy took over the hosting duties five years ago from Walter Cronkite. The Kennedy Center and none of these people matter, right?"SO WHAT, OLD MAN?! I'M ENTITLED TO MY IGNORANCE! Caroline Kennedy repeats 'you know' 142 times in interviewhttp://tinyurl.com/9yvhrrWhy aren't some of you mocking Kennedy like you did Palin?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAgI4AS1NVgOh, that's right--you don't know who she is.

so you're officially done with the millenials thread, rightjust gonna focus all your energy on this[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 1:23 AM. Reason : and palin was RUNNING for a NATIONAL office]
1/6/2009 1:22:11 AM
^^ Why didn't you mock Palin like you're mocking Kennedy? We don't have to vote for Kennedy though, it really doesn't benefit us in any way to mock her (at least i don't see any benefit).

Um. . . Hillary Clinton almost became president from her perch in one of New York's Senate seats. And the Kennedy name is much more widely known than the Clinton name. And some of you do know that New York is often referred to as the world's capital city, right? Of course you don't--this doesn't matter either, does it?BTW, don't worry, Woodfool, I'll be back to BBQ your ass et al in the "Millennials" thread soon enough. There are only so many hours in the day.
1/6/2009 1:48:35 AM
Your points are beginning to resemble a game of "Six Degrees of Separation".I don't think Kennedy belongs anywhere remotely close to a position of power, but the same could be said for... probably 90% or more of our nation's elected officials.

I was kinda hoping she would take the seat just to see your implosion when people STILL didn't give a fuck about a nobody senator in NY.
1/22/2009 12:18:33 PM
Nice wand.
1/22/2009 12:38:55 PM
the reason she dropped out is related to a nanny and taxes (brings back memories of nannygate).
1/22/2009 3:50:19 PM
Why can't you all just let hooksaw cling to the icons of his youth in peace? There will probably be one day when we're old and someone named Chelsea Clinton makes the news, and we try to explain desperately to some young whippersnappers how important she is. It'll happen. Someday.[Edited on January 22, 2009 at 3:57 PM. Reason : ]

Looks like a House of Rep chick will replace Clinton, Kristin something...she is just 41 and she is somewhat attractive.[Edited on January 22, 2009 at 4:24 PM. Reason : w]

Maybe hooksaw can give us more information on her, since he is intimately connected to the New York political scene.
1/22/2009 4:29:06 PM
^^ Senator Coug, anyone? Not too shabby.
1/22/2009 4:35:37 PM
as someone who lives in new york id rather not have her in government.
1/22/2009 5:46:56 PM
Yep, she got appointed.
1/23/2009 11:00:32 AM
so what was the thread supposed to do?
1/23/2009 1:24:01 PM
allow hooksaw to wallow in his nostalgia for glory days.
1/23/2009 1:38:53 PM
^1. You are an idiot.2. Liberal Boomers are the ones who are pining away for Camelot II. I am neither a Boomer nor a liberal.3. This may be the real reason Kennedy dropped out--an alleged affair involving her and the publisher of The New York Times:Are Caroline Kennedy and Pinch Sulzberger [aka 'Pinchy McSaltburger'] "VERY SPECIAL FRIENDS?"http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2152397/postsAnd I have two on this:1. A Kennedy having an alleged affair? NO WAY!!!12. The New York Times doesn't just love the Kennedys--it loves the Kennedys (allegedly). Sweet Jesus--what a freakin' fiasco.
