how many of frankens winning votes magically came out of a car trunk?
1/5/2009 5:20:10 PM
bout as many as came outta Coleman's ass....look the fact is, when a major election comes down to a statistical dead heat -- such as this one -- there is absolutely NO POSSIBLE WAY to precisely determine the winner.the winner will be the one who has the fastest and sharpest legal team and/or the one who can pull a dirty trick without getting caught.with so many people voting, and so many variables and potentials for human error -- you can count the votes 50 times and you're likely gonna get 50 different results.

^ Wrong--as usual. Funny Business in Minnesota In which every dubious ruling seems to help Al Franken
1/5/2009 10:14:16 PM
franken is a piece of shit on an epic level
1/5/2009 11:07:06 PM
fuck Stuart Smalley
1/5/2009 11:12:32 PM
^^^ I bet you were equally concerned about vote counting in 2000 too, weren't you? It's sad in any case, especially if you hate Franken, that his opponent couldn't handily beat him. What does that say about his opponent?
1/5/2009 11:50:02 PM
^ Um. . .this may surprise you but I don't want anyone to "win" illegitimately--whether I agree with his positions or not. And 2000?! Are you fucking serious with that bullshit?!Dude, grab the reins. Bush is out in a few days, okay? It's time to seek meaningful psychiatric treatment for your Bush derangement syndrome.
1/6/2009 12:11:46 AM
^ So you're saying Bush won illegitimately? And considering people's predictions about Bush actually came true time and again, I wouldn't call it "derangement" really. Maybe if more people were "deranged" in 2004, things might have been different.[Edited on January 6, 2009 at 12:14 AM. Reason : ]

My post is quite clear. And denial is an ugly thing--you really should seek help.

A coin flip could easily hand a Super Bowl victory to one team instead of another, and honestly that's a much bigger deal than a senate seat from Minnesota.

flip a coin and call it in the air, i mean noone gives a shit about minnesota anyway.
3/29/2009 8:59:37 PM
He won, now Coleman appeals to the Minn Supreme Court where he will loose, then he will appeal to the Supreme Court which given the makeup of the Justices, probably will side with Coleman and give him the election.
4/14/2009 1:58:08 AM
is it guaranteed that the supreme court will hear the case?[Edited on April 14, 2009 at 2:05 AM. Reason : from what i've heard...gore v bush from 2000 would cause franken to win]
4/14/2009 2:02:13 AM
I can't imagine how the people of Minnesota, the United States, or the planet Earth will in any way benefit from Al Franken becoming a US Senator. Maybe Coleman is just as much of a douchebag, I don't know, I didn't have to suffer through years of hearing him suck at life. But I have a solution to this crisis. We will take a moose and make it a Senator. Moose should be agreeable to everybody, as it is an animal native to the northern part of North America. It will be a registered democrat moose, but it will abstain from all votes, because it is a moose. That way you still technically get your extra democrat, you still get a Senator which is only marginally less effective at lawmaking than people Senators, and I don't ever have to hear a fucking word about Al Franken ever again. You know what, I don't care if you just make the moose vote with Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time. But please, in the name of everything that we as an American people hold dear, please don't put Al Franken in a position of political power.[Edited on April 14, 2009 at 2:14 AM. Reason : ]

yes, roddy. We certainly should want vote rigging to be allowed to decide a close election. Doing one thing with one set of ballots which helps Candiate A, but in another instance doing the OPPOSITE, again helping Candidate A. Reeeeeaaalllly...And yeah, let's endorse a count that gives more votes to Candidate A from a precinct than the population of that precinct. Really, sounds like a legit count to me...
4/14/2009 8:35:57 AM
I imagine at one point they considered holding a runoff election. I also imagine that they shot the idea down due to the cost of holding a runoff election. I wonder how much having the issue drag out like this is costing them?
4/14/2009 8:40:28 AM
^^^ A moose won't even fit in one of the Senate seats. And he would poop everywhere. At least with a monkey he could sit in the seat and wear a diaper.

6/30/2009 5:10:32 PM
I will say that after working with him and talking to him I really do think he'll make a good senator, fwiw.
6/30/2009 6:08:06 PM
what the fuck is wrong with that state?maybe the cold perverts their brains
6/30/2009 7:55:34 PM
I support the Inactive Moose Plan as the solution to this issue.
