The left hand is where the magic is.
12/3/2008 10:02:32 AM
Being a lefty is actually a slight disadvantage if anythingMost teams put their best pass blocker on the left side of the line to protect the right handed QB's blind sideThat blocker could move over to the right side to protect the lefty's blind side, but since he probably has more experience at left tackle, he probably won't be as successful, at least initially
12/3/2008 10:03:34 AM
you could make the same argument about the pass rushmost teams like to rush and blitz from their right side because that's the qb's blind sidethey could flip the playbook to get after a lefty, but since they probably have more experience rushing from their right, they won't be as successful, at least initially
12/3/2008 11:00:03 AM
Bottom line is that there is no advantage to being a left QB...unless your goal is to be compared to Steve Young.
12/3/2008 11:00:56 AM
^^ touche, but I'd argue that attacking from a different side is easier to adapting to than reacting from a different side
12/3/2008 11:05:00 AM
I mean size alone seperates Tebow from othersHe is no Ken Dorsey.
12/4/2008 10:11:26 AM
Lou Holtz thinks he'll get it.I can't see anyone but Bradford getting it though.

TEBOW BRADFORD MCCOYWho will it be????
12/11/2008 12:18:08 PM
bradford
12/11/2008 12:19:26 PM
goalielax you are a terrible troll.Yeah all of those defenses that Tebow faces are good just because the offenses are bad.
12/11/2008 12:22:40 PM
Tebow is a better player this year than last year. Last year he HAD to throw and run all on his own to make his team successfull. That got them 3 losses. This year, he's doing better, leading his team better, and has his team 1 loss. IMO the deciding factor is that the BIG XII qb's could have a bad game and go for 200 something yards and a few td's against the defenses they were facing. If tebow had a bad day, Florida would have a hard time winning.
12/11/2008 12:30:18 PM
he does have a good point, LSU's offense sucked this year, so every team they played against had a defense that probably put up good numbers on themthe same goes for quite a few of the teams in the SECit doesnt really matter either way, and is just a reason to argue, but his point is valid and certainly isnt on a "trolling" level
12/11/2008 12:32:37 PM
^^ Great post. The thing about it is, TEBOW and BRADFORD have a ton of weapons around them.McCoy has fewer weapons.I would categorize them like this:Best passer: BradfordBest runner: TebowMost Accurate: McCoyBest Leader: TebowMost Dangerous: Tebow

[Edited on December 11, 2008 at 5:54 PM. Reason : tried to up load a pic... didn't work... i think tebow did it with sheer will power]
12/11/2008 5:50:57 PM
terrible troll? that's a legitimate postdid you know that the ACC has more top 25 defenses than the SEC does? OMG DWYER AND WILSON FOR HEISMAN!but no, I think we all know the ACC has good defensive stats because the offenses aren't that good.the SEC has 2 really good teams this year - Bama and Florida. Take out the three games the ACC played against them, and the ACC teams averaged 43 yards a game over the SEC team's average yds allowed all year long[Edited on December 11, 2008 at 6:20 PM. Tebow vs. McCoy vs. Bradford
12/11/2008 10:10:33 PM
In a triple threat Cage match I think Tebow would win
12/12/2008 9:21:37 AM
so i thought there was usually 5 candidates that go to New York? or are they just not talking about the other two??
12/13/2008 1:06:26 PM
My vote is Tebow. He's the reigning heavy weight champ and neither challenger has knocked him out.
12/13/2008 1:09:40 PM
They didn't invite but these three......Harrell and Crabtree didn't get invited. Which is a crock if you ask me. One analyst said is was to not embarrass anyone that didn't get many votes.
12/13/2008 1:10:53 PM
^^That isn't exactly how it works...

12/13/2008 9:02:15 PM
No surprise that Bradford won.....the voters go for the gaudy numbers.
12/13/2008 9:03:48 PM
Where is your God now, Tebow?
12/13/2008 9:06:39 PM
haha. teblow pwnt, stay home. not only did he not win but he finished 3rd kinda funny that he had the most 1st place votes though
12/13/2008 9:08:19 PM
Have 2 winners ever played each other for a championship before?
12/13/2008 9:09:24 PM
I was actually leaning towards Bradford until I heard this dude break shit down, Tebow played 10 defenses ranked in the top 50, Bradford and McCoy played 3-4 each
12/13/2008 9:09:45 PM
2009 Russell Wilson!
12/13/2008 9:09:47 PM
It's a shame there isn't an award for the most rectangularly shaped head, Tebow would win every year.
12/13/2008 9:13:25 PM
i argue that it would've been tebow had he not won it last year.
12/13/2008 9:32:13 PM
I think Bradford deserved it. Good for him. I also think OU wins the National Championship. You can say OU hasn't faced a defense like UF all year... but it's a verified fucking fact that UF hasn't faced an offense like OU all year either...
12/13/2008 9:42:24 PM
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
12/13/2008 10:23:54 PM
12/13/2008 10:26:29 PM
and how many of those defenses were good because of bad offenses?
12/13/2008 10:27:04 PM
12/13/2008 10:32:28 PM
The Heisman is completely meaningless.
12/13/2008 11:35:01 PM
but everyone scored on everyone in the Big 12, there were several defenses that were good outside of when they played Florida.I didnt even see Jonathan L's post above, I gave the Big 12 too much credit, it wasnt 3-4...Even though I hate him, there is no doubt in my mind that Tebow is the best offensive player in college football[Edited on December 14, 2008 at 12:41 AM. Monte + Berry = Heisman?
12/14/2008 12:51:36 AM
he'll have 2 championships and a heisman after this year. i doubt tebow will be losing any sleep.
