Palin however made no attempt to calm her crazy crowds, and they really screwed up by chauffeuring Joe the Plumber to spout his idiocy."

my bad, I meant the McCain campaign in general should have been more proactive about stopping it. I didn't mean to say that they condoned it in any way

like to come out and publicly say that kind of shit won't be tolerated at all or make an announcement at rallies that any racism/bigotry will get you kicked out

Not really a confession, but when I voted a while ago, I shook my state representative's hand and didn't respond when he asked if he could count on my vote. I then voted against him. This is the second year in a row I have done this, although at the primary all I had to worry about was a flier distributor.

Next time I am considering jogging in - perhaps running a WR route through to the doors.

Now I remember. I also voted for Wayne Goodwin, insurance commissioner.

Okay, that's three Democrats--and that's a gracious plenty!

Haha. I missed this thread when it first came out. Good idea.

I think I've post this somewhere else, but my confession would be that I was (on occasion) secretly jealous of excited Obama supporters (folks like moron who got pumped after almost every twitter and visit to his Facebook page). I felt left out and wishing Obama would just say more things I agree with (agree with Obama's policies or not, but electing the first black president is a historic occasion and I'm sad I had to oppose him).

I thought Obama was going to win but had no fucking clue it would be by such a ridiculous margin.

I knew Obama was going to crush the electoral count but had no fucking clue it would be by such a close popular-vote margin

I voted for Huckabee in the primary based on his FairTax support.

One of my my neighbors voted for Obama (well I assume as much given the sign in the yard). Last week they left their trashcan on the street for a few days. When returning from dog walks I'd put my dog's poo in their trash dumpster

(it was in bags though)

I'm pretty sure that just about everything bad that happens in the first 2 years will be blamed on Bush.

Worked for FDR and Reagan when they inherited economies in the shitter.

i wasn't posting on here at all during the election so really anything i say will be a revelation but none of it I really would have hidden anyway.

-donated to the following candidates: Obama, Kucinich, Gravel
-worked in Missouri for Obama, mostly with union folks
-with that said, I didn't support Obama till it was down to him and Hillary. i knew my other candidates weren't gonna win but I was voting absentee in NC and I knew by that time noone was gonna be left so might as well go out on a limb for someone
-rev. wright is not racist and we deserve to be criticized on some of those issues he brought up (not the AIDS thing, and probably not the a-bomb either)
-the sarah palin pick was an obvious blatant pander from the start and other than that i've got nothing else to say about her other than that i don't understand why someone whose principals seemed pretty superficial has become a movement leader (i know someone's gonna say obama was like that, but at least his plans had numbers and things attached to them)
-i wish mccain had lost in the primaries b/c i don't think this election reflected well on his legacy

That's actually a good point I don't think i've heard yet.

He also has potentially heralded a plight on America in the form of Palin.
