yeh I have to agree, losing usually means a losing starting position.
10/16/2008 3:52:46 PM
not if you're playing well. it takes 24 starters to win a game. if one of them is the greatest of all time, and the rest are terrible, you simply won't win a game.you could have a QB that scores every time he touches the ball but never wins a game because the rest of his team (special teams and defense) is terrible. would he be the greatest of all time? probably. Winning doesn't make you the best.Winning plus the highest rookie completion % and passer rating does.ROFLsberger has to be the best.
10/16/2008 3:59:07 PM
ROFL also had Bettis/Parker to hand it off to and wasn't asked to throw that much.
10/17/2008 1:15:39 AM
^^He's also one of the dumbest fuckers in the NFL riding around on his motorcycle with no helmet on. Like Vince Young dumb. Lucky as shit
10/17/2008 1:20:22 AM
The passer rating and completion % do, but the winning is irrelevant.
10/17/2008 1:32:16 AM
god damn that was a sweet play to Roddy White
10/26/2008 3:58:08 PM
Fucking shit why is Adam Jennings still on the team?[Edited on October 26, 2008 at 4:11 PM. Reason : .]

thats a rough rough rough way to end a game... but I will cover the spread haha
10/26/2008 4:12:40 PM
They got so screwed at the end of today's game.
10/26/2008 6:16:24 PM
Nobody will show the fucking highlight of this shit. I still haven't seen it for myself.
10/26/2008 7:42:34 PM
ESPN just showed it. It didnt "make" the Falcons lose, but it was still a shitty call
10/26/2008 7:50:59 PM
i dont know if this has been covered in the threadbut is this a complete shock to any other nc state fans?i didnt get to watch him much, pretty much only against us, and it seemed like he threw nothing but wobblers and tried to see how many times he could hit our db's in the chest (of course they caught none b/c we suck, but...)
11/9/2008 10:09:57 PM
As a Falcons fan, as I was watching him a little closer than your average State fan during his senior year, and watched a good many highlights after the season.I could tell he had the smarts and leadership. Accuracy and arm strength were difficult to tell. It seemed like Boston College's pocket would always collapse really quick, and he'd end up throwing off his back foot, etc. I think the play of Atlanta's offensive line is a big factor here - they were expected to be a liability, and are instead a strength. That said, I had NO clue Ryan could throw the deep ball like he has this season.
11/9/2008 10:28:40 PM
^^ no, I always thought he was really good and got shit for it on here and was right once again.
11/9/2008 10:54:25 PM
^ don't take it personally.
11/9/2008 11:09:59 PM
haha exactlya simple question about if others remember things the way i do and somebody starts bragging
11/9/2008 11:10:54 PM
just saying that my well thought out observations are usually met with "you hate NC State" or just "fuck you" but then they often turn out being right. This is an example, as is Butch Davis being able to turn around UNC quick
11/9/2008 11:19:53 PM
It's not about being right, it's about unbridled, blind hatred for all things UNC.but, clearly you want a cupcake. or, maybe a dozen.but, i never had that much hate for BC, and yeah, I'm not that surprised that Matt Ryan is a good NFL QB. I'm only surprised that it happened this quickly.
11/10/2008 6:54:43 AM
someone that really knows sports never lets emotion block out logic when its really obvious. I hate FloridaFlorida sucks. Tennessee is better than Florida this year.See how dumb that makes me look?class over
11/10/2008 12:46:56 PM
honestly, i don't think anyone expected this kind of rookie year from matt ryan. even those that realized he was a legit top-10 prospect going into the draft were saying it was reach for him to be drafted as high as he was, it's gonna take time for him to adjust to the nfl, etc. and i agree, he's a much better deep-ball passer than most expected. he's been throwing strikes!
