can't they find any good actresses from America...do they always have to be from Britain or Australia or South Africa or Ireland or New Zealand
9/14/2008 9:45:27 PM
all our actresses are spoiled druggie losers
9/15/2008 8:16:34 AM
9/15/2008 9:24:22 AM
^^ you forgot about Tatum O'Neal, who is totally acting like a drug addict^ I've always thought that saying Lost "didn't give enough" answers was a cheap criticism of the show. Not that the show goes over peoples head, but you just have to pay attention more than a lot of shows and you will be rewarded.
9/15/2008 9:33:55 AM
^ Incorrect. A season of 75% flashbacks is not good writing. Sorry bud.
9/16/2008 8:42:38 PM
deus ex machina
9/16/2008 10:01:43 PM
I thought it was good this weekThe man baby reminded me of the previews of the new Brad Pitt MovieNot Burn after reading....the Bejamin Button one
9/16/2008 10:51:39 PM
Was a definite drop off from last week. We'll watch next week, but I don't know how long I can go if it continues to get worse.
9/17/2008 12:54:29 AM
Oh shit! This episode is dead in the water if we don't figure out how to find the killer. We need a fantastical device that reads minds ... and here it is! And now let's go through the motions of a story line that the writers care so little about, it ends 10 minutes before the show actually ends.
9/17/2008 1:03:44 AM
I'll give them the magical laser device this time, but if this becomes a regular pattern in this show... game over.
9/17/2008 11:12:35 AM
I like the show although some of the shit they use is farfetchedIts like they took the Umbrella Corp from Resident Evil, plus the government themes from the X-Files, added a little Twilight Zone feel and mixed in a tidbit of horror to it.I dont understand some of these complaints. You people are ok with shows where people have superpowers or set in futuristic time periods in space but complain about the fantasy theoretical science in this show?I dont get it.
9/17/2008 2:27:39 PM
I dont get the same feeling from this show as I do from Lost and Heroes where I dont know whats going to happen next, and when a question is answered I am kinda caught off-guardthis show is pretty predictable, and they spell everything out for you (i.e. explaining what the pituitary gland does when most educated people already know this). I guess this show doesnt make me think enough...I'll give it another week or two, but last night was a pretty big step back from the pilot episode
9/17/2008 2:39:10 PM
the acting in this show is HORRIBLE
9/17/2008 3:08:31 PM
i laughed so hard when they explained to the junior FBI agent what the pituitary glad was. I wish the creepiness would stick around for more than just the first segment. I wanted that killer to around making women's bodies explode from fast growing feti. but alas no, one creepy opening and then it was another procedural with a sci twist.but the show is decent, i'll continue to watch
9/17/2008 3:32:04 PM
they should stretch out some of these cases to two or more episodes, it all seems very rushed. there really hasnt been any trial and error in so far, they have been able to solve all of the cases on the first try, which bothers me.I really want to like this show
9/17/2008 4:01:51 PM
^that's what they want out of this series.each episode to have its own case with mini-arcs and developing underlying conspiracies to be what ties together the main story itself. much like the way x-files was through its first few seasons.this seems to have more csi procedural in it so i do understand where you are coming from. like someone said on page 1, it will get old fast if it just stays with something weird happening, then we learn it all begin with *the weird scientist's experiments, then he uses his knowledge to solve the phenomenon, then they track down subject and story ends* it will get old
9/17/2008 6:40:22 PM
9/17/2008 6:40:59 PM
lol @ the whole bridge image triangulation thing completed 25 seconds after they identified the bridge
9/17/2008 8:55:40 PM
^,^^ the more i think about these things the more i at this show as well.
9/17/2008 9:26:17 PM
i want to believe
9/18/2008 12:49:27 AM
have not been impressed at ALL yet. even the first episode was not entirely enticing. oh well.
9/18/2008 7:20:27 AM
2nd episode was indeed much worse...will give it a few more tries though
9/18/2008 8:06:54 AM
This is the most ridiculous show ever. The characters on this show have no boundaries. In one scene we see the Joshua Jackson able to dissect a murder scene by only finding an orange glop in the bathroom and placing it on a q-tip. Latter in the episode he somehow is able to make a homemade defibrillator MacGyver style and resuscitate her and hopefully into stability. The father is amzed! by seat-warmers but somehow invents a way to figure out the last image burned onto the retina using a magical laser device (an item he apparently came up with in his mind, searched for a patent, and found out that this mysterious company, that is probably behind these strange killings, has the only functioning one in the world). And what was that last image depicting at the end of the episode? Those rapidly aging soldiers?
9/18/2008 2:51:22 PM
Is the 2nd episode going to be repeated on Sunday night? Once again my DVR box failed me and did not record it
9/18/2008 4:06:28 PM
I get the idea of calling it Fringe with the whole fringe science theme. But come on, this stuff isn't even in the realm of possibility. Hooking a camera up to a dead person to see what they saw right before being killed & inducing a coma in someone so they can talk to someone who else who's also in a coma is a little beyond the fringe of science to me.
9/18/2008 4:15:26 PM
those complaining, please dont watch next week, im tired of reading the same thing over and over
9/18/2008 5:20:06 PM
9/18/2008 5:50:12 PM
haha @ SCEINCE
9/18/2008 7:32:58 PM
9/18/2008 10:09:55 PM
i couldn't even make it through the pilot.
9/18/2008 10:13:43 PM
9/23/2008 9:16:37 AM
Yea, that's probably right. I just couldn't get a good enough look on their faces.I honestly hope this show tanks if it doesn't change. There's enough to keep me interested unfortunately that "enough" is mostly how ludicrous this show is.
9/23/2008 9:45:55 AM
i thought they were all the same dude.
9/23/2008 11:26:50 AM
"Yes, amongst other things"Gotta be sure to keep it wiiide open for all kinds of crazy plotsSeason 1: The PatternSeason 2: The GridSeason 3: The Happy Roof Chimney Umbrella Hat
9/23/2008 12:02:16 PM
This show uses cliches and rips off scenes and plot points moreso than any other show/movie that I've seen.
9/23/2008 1:05:01 PM
Ok, the episode is not over, but this is the third strike, and now I can stop DVRing this. This last one just seemed boring and wasn't more interesting than its competition - heros, terminator, and I presume Lost. If you are going to be a johnny-come-lately, you have to be more bold than your predecessors.
9/23/2008 9:50:51 PM
yet you people will continue to post in this thread every week
9/23/2008 10:00:01 PM
As with all new shows, I gave this one 3 episodes. It didn't deliver, I moved on. I think I was fair. You are acting like criticism of the show is hurting your feelings.
9/23/2008 10:43:05 PM
last night was the first episode i've watched and i didn't know much about it to start with, and i was 5 mins late, but my only reaction iswat ? oh and i don't like the tall scary black dude from lost. i have a hard time understanding him when he talks. also, what's with the lost music (high pitched stringed instruments) when nothing that dramatic is happening??
9/24/2008 8:40:52 AM
last night was my 3rd strike for this show as well. I couldn't even finish it. moved on to the mentalist which, while not great, held my attention.
9/24/2008 8:47:07 AM
if you like the mentalist, i bet you'd like psych, the show they ripped off.it was a definite improvement from last week, so i'll continue to watch next week, but i don't see me continuing much longer, especially when all of the returning shows come back.
9/24/2008 11:35:00 AM
yeah i've never seen Psych. I always forget about USA so i never caught Psych or Burn Notice, though i wanted to.where are the glory days of Pacific Blue, Silk Stalkings, and Le Femme Nikita USA?
9/24/2008 11:40:19 AM
meh, i'll keep watching. Just to see how crazy it gets by the end of the season. I think it's a little overboard on how they try and explain EVERYTHING...even then simple things."I consider myself a pretty good poker player. Which means I am able to deduct when someone is trying to lie. I can tell this by reading their tells. He has no tells, so he's not bluffing."seriously?
9/24/2008 1:19:35 PM
yeah that was horrible
9/24/2008 2:02:13 PM
^^ See I figured that as more of him being a smartass than just being retardedly redundant.Nevertheless...while not a great show at least its fairly entertaining...I'll keep watchin for a bit and see if this "Pattern" starts coming togetherBTW whats up with all the little "clues" right before they cut to break....frogs with weird markings...leaves with more weird symbols....a fly wing on a dandelion....embryos in the seeds of 1/2 an apple...odd...
9/24/2008 2:51:33 PM
where can i find this online? im too lazy to look for myself
