Tried it again, didn't work, talked to someone on the phone who was very helpful and had everything fixed. Nice customer service.

ok, that seems weird that you're not eligible and she is...what kinda weird shit is that?I'd be seriously pissed and pitch a fit over the phone to them. or go to their offices.SECU has been leaps and bounds the best bank I've ever used(comparing with BB&T, Centura, Wachovia and ING)

The other online thing was much simpler. Oh well. The summary of how much I have made on 5% checking makes me smile when I login.

does anyone notice that they started to charged $3 monthly fee for the checking account? Time to find myself a new bank.
1/8/2009 7:40:44 AM
I've not been charged for anything like that in my checking. What kind of checking account do you have with them?
1/8/2009 7:53:21 AM
going to signup for the "green checking" tomorrow, since now I can use Bank of America billpay to pay bills with other bank accountsall the benefits of a stellar bill pay system (BoA) with the high interest rate of CFCU (4.01%)

The airplane partnership I am in used CFCU. I am not really impressed. the location off Page Road has these stalls that you enter, where you talk with a teller through a video screen and microphone. Very slow to do transactions. Thought it was a neat idea until I've had to suffer through it. I like knowing the tellers and seeing them face to face.

^Yeah, They changed it over here on Tryon like last summer? I hated it. I like going into the bank because I like to deal with real people face to face. I asked them why they changed it and they said mostly for security reasons. It seems that mostly older folks that don't like electronics are the ones complaining the most though. I've definitely gotten more use to it now.

^^ Those things do suck. I've only been to that branch twice (notarizing my boat and a month later to notarize the trailer), but both times I thought it took too long. The main branch off Wake Forest Rd. is always much faster so I think it's just that particular branch. With direct deposit I rarely step foot in a bank though.[Edited on March 4, 2009 at 12:14 PM. Reason : l]

The location off Harrison Avenue in Cary is still "old fashioned", i.e. you talk to a real person, face-to-face.
