have you collected the eight stars? You'll see that "ending" after you do.I'm not even going to try. I replayed through the game, the whole time looking for stars, and I found one. Not collected. I just saw it and had no fucking clue how to get it. And it wasn't easy to find it either. One of the stars require that you stand on a glacially slow moving cloud for literally 2 hours.

oh, i didn't even know you could collect those, lolguess i'm not quite done with the game, seeing how I never saw them during my first play

i think i would rather have braid on the DS
8/26/2008 12:17:50 PM
i would so buy that.
8/26/2008 12:18:50 PM
the game is such that you can pretty much stop whenever. portability would make it totally worth the extra price of a cartridge.
8/26/2008 12:21:01 PM
I love the graphics on the big HDTV though But yeah, a DS version would make a lot of sense
8/26/2008 12:46:30 PM
Braid 2 will be on every console, including your cell phoneso will 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7

Just found all of the stars, but I used a little help. There was no way I would have ever figured all of that out. I'm betting there's more you can do with them instead of just seeing them in the background. Notice they disappear if your character looks at them? I'm sure more and more things are going to be found in this game

http://www.avclub.com/content/blog/game_designer_jonathan_blow_whatinterview with Johnathon Blow. i had no idea he was this pretentious.
8/28/2008 5:48:58 PM
^oh yea, he's pretentious as hell
8/28/2008 10:48:48 PM
it's sad that he's basically saying that all other interpretations are wrong, that the story has to be viewed one particular way. if the storyline is so fragmentary and ambiguous, you shouldn't get upset when gamers take it to mean something else than you originally intended.^i disagree. i don't think he even finished his english degree (he only ever said he majored in it, and wikipedia says he only got a comp sci degree). who is he to judge a program he didn't finish?[Edited on August 28, 2008 at 11:46 PM. Reason : .]

He didn't finish either his Computer Science or English degree.

primer shows you the story, braid just has text snippets and an ambiguous last level. i don't think you can compare the two.

Watching that makes me weep for the future current state of humanity.
9/16/2008 7:43:35 PM
well, at least halo was on in the backgroundthat game has a much deeper storyhe's right though, the only point to this game is using your unlimited go back in time potion to constantly save yourself from falling in the firethat's it
9/17/2008 7:57:03 AM
i thought the puzzles were quite genius
9/17/2008 1:39:30 PM
I did too, I was being sarcasticWhat was everyone's last puzzle piece/most frustrating puzzle?I've mentioned mine before, but mine was the piece above the door in "crossing the gap"
9/17/2008 2:09:35 PM
the puzzle where you had to stop the plants from hitting the three trolls (or whatever they are). you had to do this by timing the delay of the plants and then use them to double jump up to the art piecethat shit took me forever
9/17/2008 2:14:28 PM
^^ Same as me.
