The only problem with this is Pelosi's assumption that the Democrats will be dominant after the election. People aren't happy that nothing has come of their save-the-world promises from a couple of years ago and they hate the Democrats as bad as they do the Republicans. All the people on the left think that their golden child will be in the White House, but they better not count their chickens before they hatch.

I am still flabbergasted how often this congress has managed to cave to an administration with the lowest approval rating in historyI mean seriously

I would vote for obama if the republicans had a significant majority in both houses.

i doubt any party will ever have a "significant majority" in both houses, if by significant you mean...like 60+ senators or 275+ representatives...too much polarity

^^ I would also do this. I would even lower the bar to a 'decent' majority, just for foreign policy issues.

I concurIf recent history is any indication, Obama will lose his majority in 2010 or 2014[Edited on August 6, 2008 at 4:21 PM. Reason : 2]

I would feel better about him winning if the repubs controlled congress, but the more I read about him I could never support his politics.

I'd probably vote similarly. I'd rather both parties be crippled and ineffective than have either in power.
