parts of capital blvd are ghetto, but triangle town center is not one of them.crabtree is pretty ghetto though.
7/27/2008 9:31:41 PM
I havent been to a mall in a year. Not to cary town center, southpoint, TTC or crabtree. Not missing anything.
7/27/2008 9:34:15 PM
Just another reason not to vote for Obama.j/k
7/27/2008 10:08:15 PM
It was just on the Greensboro news again. 300 people? that's what I call a fight
7/27/2008 10:09:49 PM
7/27/2008 10:12:14 PM
wait crabtree is ghetto? since when? i must not know the definition of ghetto.
7/27/2008 10:14:37 PM
black people
7/27/2008 10:16:00 PM
whatev, triangle always has mobs of people walking around in it not buying anything just like "hanging."and mexicans that bring their kids IN SWIMSUITS to play in the fountain/squirty water thing outside the food court. maybe it isn't ghetto but that isn't high class. but south point is like that too. freaking kids everywhere just wandering around/hanging. i don't know how someone who works in a mall could miss this. this is like, why i do not frequent malls. and capital is a piece of shit. if you consider a big mall, a bojangles, some shitty ass strip malls, a mexican super market and a lexus dealership classy then ok...its classy.
7/27/2008 10:21:19 PM
Wake up white people!
7/27/2008 10:22:14 PM
Perhaps the fight broke out as an expression of justified outrage at the consumerist culture they found themselves surrounded by...The last time I went into a mall, I was on the verge of knifing people too.
7/27/2008 10:23:14 PM
this is why you go to malls at like 10am. get in, get out. all you have to deal with are the old people that come to do their lap walking.
7/27/2008 10:25:02 PM
the sad part is this actually justifies the seperate but equal mentality in some way (no I don't fucking support it)
7/27/2008 11:16:52 PM

hyperbole, darlin.

Crabtree is not ghetto.
7/27/2008 11:41:11 PM
7/27/2008 11:42:47 PM
Wow, people really love throwing the term "ghetto" around. Crabtree and TTC are FAR from "ghetto." I know what you're trying to say, but you're coming across pretty damn ignorant.

7/28/2008 1:46:14 AM
I am so glad I do not live up there anymore.
7/28/2008 2:03:08 AM
^^^Me? I was never saying crabtree was actually 'ghetto', just that the people who thought ttc was ghetto, they should check out crabtree. you bastard.

7/28/2008 4:34:45 AM
^^ My point was that NEITHER of those places are "ghetto." Your justification is like saying, "If you think that grain of sand is huge, you should check out this grain of salt." The adjective is incorrect. Period. Bastard. And that wasn't only to you, but to everyone in this thread incorrectly throwing around the word "ghetto" as an adjective. I mean if the word "ghetto," to you, means that there are black people present, then you are ignorant. Thus, my comment above.[Edited on July 28, 2008 at 4:39 AM. Reason : addendum]

from your own link,
7/28/2008 5:22:13 AM
Double post to say whatever, dude. Bottom line is... the word gets thrown around incorrectly way too much, IMO. You obviously don't think so. What's the point of me arguing my point to you? None. On top of the whole "arguing-Internet-retard" thing, it's a no-win. So whatever, dude. Get your ghetto on.
7/28/2008 5:27:39 AM
"a poor densely populated city district occupied by a minority ethnic group linked together by economic hardship and social restrictions"an area in raleigh where lots of a minority group hang out. could be a mall."using an incorrect adjective"not everything has to be formal on the interwebs. you should know that by now. slang.[Edited on July 28, 2008 at 5:28 AM. Reason : "Get your ghetto on." No.]

Are people seriously intimidated about driving on Capital Blvd? How is this possible? From 540 to Peace St., it's probably 85% shopping centers and at it's most narrow it's a 4-lane major roadway. I mean, Tower shopping center can be a little shady, but other than that... wtf are you afraid of?
7/28/2008 6:09:40 AM
I'm afraid of wasting 30 minutes of my life to go 2 miles down capital
7/28/2008 6:13:20 AM
^^ I can't speak for anyone else, but. . .Prepared =/= Intimidated or AfraidThere is, however, legitimate reason to be concerned:http://imaps.co.wake.nc.us/imaps/main.htm?mservice=ralcrime&msize=425^ LOL--traffic and lights. Yep.[Edited on July 28, 2008 at 6:17 AM. Reason : .]
7/28/2008 6:16:25 AM
^^ LOL.. I can agree with that! But I've never (since moving here in 2000) have I ever felt unsafe anywhere on Capital. Especially if I'm just driving through.

7/28/2008 6:23:20 AM
OK. I said I have never felt unsafe. (Hopefully I haven't just jinxed myself ) You should be fine driving elsewhere though, since Capital Blvd. is the only place carjacking occurs. Not to be an ass, just saying they can happen anywhere. So if you are going to be strapped, you might as well be, no matter where you go.[Edited on July 28, 2008 at 6:32 AM. Reason : smiley]
7/28/2008 6:31:58 AM
Sorry but Capital Blvd is not ghetto, you just need a better frame of reference. Drive around South Dallas or Jamaica Ave in NYC, that's what I call ghetto. Method Rd behind Food Lion is semi-ghetto but it's not that bad, or try Chavis Heights.
7/28/2008 6:58:57 AM
hooksaw gets funnier everyday... you can't drive on Capital Boulevard unless you're strapped? that's the stupidest fucking thing i've ever heard
7/28/2008 8:05:47 AM
^ Um. . .it's "every day," asshole. And do you get humor? Shut. . .the fuck. . .up.

While we're on on the subject of weird things, why do you ^ have spaces between those .s?[Edited on July 28, 2008 at 8:42 AM. Reason : i'll never understand]
7/28/2008 8:41:45 AM
^ Since you don't know what they're called, do you mean ellipsis points? There are supposed to be spaces between them.
7/28/2008 8:46:26 AM
THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS
7/28/2008 8:47:54 AM
Also, anyone who tries to argue Capital isn't ghetto but Crabtree is obviously has no idea what the definition of ghetto is.Last I checked, any street that has a giant bingo hall automatically fails the classy test.
7/28/2008 8:51:28 AM
Actually, anything below Spring Forest Rd on Capital Blvd until you get downtown is pretty unsafe at night.
