I know a guy who got his license back after 4 DUIs. Granted, he didn't have one for about 7 years, but he's still getting it back. Oh, and no, it didn't stop him from driving.

^^^and likewise, neither would a BAC Machine in their car[Edited on July 12, 2008 at 6:01 PM. Reason : d]
7/12/2008 6:01:22 PM
^^Actually, no.
7/12/2008 6:05:21 PM
^ a bac machine is a pain in the ass to use if you've ever ridden with someone that has one you would NEVER EVER EVER want on on your car.. you have to pull over and blow every 15-20 min and its not really an at your earliest convenience kinda thing its a DO IT NOW OR YOUR SHIT IS CUTTING OFF.just don't do it people.... even if you think you drive fine while intoxicated or don't value your life or the lives of others, if you get busted you'll spend AT LEAST 15K before all is said and done...
7/12/2008 6:08:00 PM
^ EXACTLY. that is why it is used as a punishment, and would be a stupid idea to have in all vehicles
7/12/2008 6:09:20 PM
I drove through that same intersection with my gf just a few hours before this happenedI'm glad that moron wasn't on the road yet
7/12/2008 6:40:14 PM
BUT IT IS SO FUCKING FUN!!!
7/12/2008 6:41:09 PM
I cant wait until the unit would malfunction and completely lock me out of my car. Another sensor to fix.....I don't buy new cars anyway.
7/12/2008 8:28:10 PM
What if they just gave that medicine that makes alcohol taste horrible to anyone who gets a DUI? I wonder how long that medicine's effect lasts...
7/12/2008 9:08:46 PM
That sounds like the worst medicine ever.
7/12/2008 9:09:47 PM

7/12/2008 9:19:03 PM
7/12/2008 9:25:16 PM
I too own a handheld BAC and it does make one fun party toy. Least drunk one is the bitch getting beers.
7/12/2008 9:30:25 PM
We would always get the bitch the nastiest shot that we could think of. Often it was a boiler maker. At a bar we used to go to I'd just get the bartender to make a chick martini and write PUSSY on the top with chocolate syrup.
7/12/2008 9:32:39 PM
^ HAHAHAHA. That's funny as hell

Greetings: The gent in the picture at the top of this page ("new recruit") killed my daughter, and critically injured her boyfriend, Saturday morning at 4:50 AM. The police have confirmed it as a DWI. Yes, I am the father of the girl. I repeat, he killed my daughter. She was 17, getting ready to go to college, and had a great future ahead of her. She was a wonderful person, very bright and talented, beautiful, and she really wanted to change the world. So those of you who think that driving drunk is "cool" or something you can do, I suggest that you are not just wrong, you are dead wrong. The entries on this blog seem to confirm that. How far can you go? How tasteless can this be? Who are you? Where do you live? What is YOUR future? How old are you (our driver was underage as well!). If you drink, don't drive. If you drive don't drink. And if you choose to do both, I hope you are very very lucky or get pulled over real quick. You WILL make a mistake. It might be you in the ditch or over the guardrail, it might be someone else. Statistics don't tell the story of the individuals, the cost, the pain, or anything else. If it was your family that had someone killed by an impaired driver (your brother, your sister, your parents), you would probably go sober. Very sober. If you think you are invincible, think again. Life is easier to end than it is to sustain.

is tww already on the google search for the news article? or was tww on her browser history and you stumbed upon this thread?sorry for your loss but a post on here isn't the solution - i don't think anyone thinks driving drunk is "cool" - by no means is it justifiable but it's done out of convenience most of the time and not much more really ]]

^^^ seriously sir i am sorry for your loss but you will find that this is a tasteless forum with levels of sarcasm you will not be willing to accept with your daughter. It is a terrible tragedy that someone was killed in this incident and i am sincerely sorry for your loss but the majority of this forum will not feel your pain and some will possibly take delight in making it worse. My suggestion is that you leave now before you become more upset than you already are.]

^^^shut the hell up. there's nothing funny about that. doing dumb stuff like that makes you no different than every other tww user, something you obviously have tried to prove that you aren't. -100 points.

I will get out of here. However, I was responding to the first post in the thread by "Slave Famous". It is in terrible taste for this situation. If it makes you uneasy, then you should think about why. I will watch and listen (paid my $).
7/13/2008 5:16:42 PM
If you watch this site regularly, you will see that Slave Famous is more often a troll than serious
7/13/2008 5:21:27 PM
No offense but I doubt he knows what a "troll" is

if you get a dwi and blow above a .16 you have to have one in your car for a year, wake county has you do them through monitech.you have to pay for them to install it, and then you have to pay a monthly fee also, because of how expensive they are. and we have had clients that will call and complain to us that the system messed up there cars, and we have to say sorry call monitech, its a court mandated thing. they have tons of problems with them and they are very very expensive. i have heard a few stories of them locking up and causing accidents.everytime someone calls us about their problems with them i feel like saying eh, sorry now maybe you really wont ever drink and drive again because it is sooooooo expensive to pay for the effects of it, but the lawyer i work for would kill me.[Edited on July 13, 2008 at 5:50 PM. Reason : if convicted ]
7/13/2008 5:47:00 PM
is your piece of shit boyfriend having fun with his?
7/13/2008 5:56:49 PM
7/13/2008 6:06:10 PM
clearly dui's should be on a scaled penalty system..08 - .10 is not that dangerous - should be like a speeding ticket>.10 and < .16 should be about like the current DUI standard penalty. >.16 should be felony and 5+ in jail - that would fix a lot of problems.repeat offenders, regardless of level, move to level 3
7/13/2008 6:22:29 PM
absolutely agree 100%. if nothing else there need to be more extreme penalties for extreme cases.. this bullshit of .09 = .24 is idiotic
7/13/2008 6:29:00 PM
it's like giving the same penalty for stealing a pack of gum as stealing a car or robbing a house.does not computenot that any drunk driving is a good thing. [Edited on July 13, 2008 at 6:36 PM. Reason : ]
7/13/2008 6:31:16 PM
my district manager said in a staff meeting"if you don't have a drivers license, you're useless to me"seeing as driving is a requirement of my job, there is not a single possible situation in which i would drive drunk. thats a conversation i would never ever ever want to have with my boss.

7/13/2008 6:47:17 PM
7/13/2008 6:50:54 PM
lol the lawyer i work for is the one who gets to say the mean stuff.and you have to think about it, I cant make a client mad, they are keeping me with a job, that is why I could never do what the lawyer I work for does, defend guilty people, I get sick of hearing excuses. just admit you made a mistake, stop saying it was my first or I didnt realize, you messed up just deal with it.and we have clients who constantly call and say if i dont get this dwi dismissed i'm going to lose my job. tough luck. deal with it like everyone else does.
7/13/2008 6:52:54 PM
^^ exactly, as smart as it would be to not be on the road at a time people could be driving drunk, it doesnt mean you should live in fear of it ^^^ ha, keep thinking you know me, you don't and you never will, just as I will never know why you act like you think you are perfect even though you are probably the furthest thing from iti made a mistake, i admitted it and it doesnt exist now. newsflash people make mistakes, luckily mine was minor and i learned my lesson eary so why dont you gtfo
