Baron's with the Clippers already
7/8/2008 10:38:44 PM
not officially like i said
7/8/2008 10:45:24 PM
Yeah I know its not official but he's not changing his mindyou don't have to copy and paste to prove anything
7/8/2008 10:50:11 PM
And now they're saying Magette to the Warriors. Goodness...this is good stuff. And Bucher from ESPN is saying Brand won't "re-nig". Honestly...people have got to come up with a better word when talking about black players.I guess Brand is thinking that he's got a better chance of getting to the NBA finals in the East with the 76ers than he has in the West staying with the Clippers. Which makes good sense....then you add the $$$$$$$.NBA should be fun again next year.
7/8/2008 11:20:21 PM
Wow, Baron and the clippers just got fucked. Maybe they can hold onto maggetee now.
7/9/2008 9:38:17 AM
maggette looks like he is going to golden state, so probably not
7/9/2008 9:39:09 AM
7/9/2008 12:46:36 PM
Clippers are looking at Okafor and Josh Smith nowI have to say, I wouldn't be going "Oh, shit" if they signed Emeka
7/9/2008 1:17:16 PM
They gotta do something now.
7/9/2008 1:18:02 PM
I have to root for Chris Duhon? Seriously?
7/9/2008 1:31:02 PM
Honestly, it'll be easier to root for the team this year with Duhon than it was to root for last year's disaster of a team. I'm really hoping they move Z-Bo somehow (and so are they), but hopefully somehow D'antoni gets the players to mesh with his system at least a little. Really the best thing is for them to be in the Brandon Jennings/Ricky Rubio sweepstakes next year.
7/9/2008 3:11:20 PM
Just saw on the bottom line that Andrew FUCKING Bogut got a 5 year, 72.5 million extentionOkafor just got a boner[Edited on July 9, 2008 at 6:24 PM. Reason : Josh Smith too]
7/9/2008 6:24:00 PM
Wow. To his defense, Bogut played really well the last 1/2 to 1/3 of the season. He was on my fantasy team and did really well.
7/9/2008 6:26:11 PM
He did Okbut everyone here in Charlotte was saying that Okafor was crazy to turn down 13 a yearand I think most around the league would prefer Okafor to Bogut
7/9/2008 6:28:39 PM
I'd probably prefer Bogut. Has more offensive skills...and gets pretty comparable rebounds and blocks. Is injured a little himself, but not even close to Okafor's past.
7/9/2008 6:30:28 PM
okafor = defense, rebounds, blocked shotsbogut = offense, rebounds, self daps]
7/9/2008 7:19:06 PM
^http://youtube.com/watch?v=Zc11PUnFgkQMain reason why I would want Bogut over Okafor. Self-motivator and congratulator.

Mickael Pietrus leaving Warriors for Magic. Not exactly a big name, but he was definitely a big part in their playoff run the year before last and was another reason why they were so fun to watch. The Warriors are going to be a completely different team next year.
7/10/2008 7:07:43 AM
i heard the magic don't have enough cap room to sign KEYON DOOLING...thats what happens when you give all your money to Rashard Lewis
7/10/2008 9:30:36 AM
Yeah...I like Lewis' game, but he got way too much money last year. That being said, the Magic are still a better point guard (or better/more consistent play from Nelson) away from being a legit East title contender.
7/10/2008 10:31:06 AM
as long as Howard continues to improve I agree...it could be a concern that he injured himself during the Detroit playoff series and still isn't 100% yet and he's slated to play for Team USA but he is a horse
7/10/2008 10:59:45 AM
the next two offseasons are pose to be a lot sexier in terms of free agentsobviously LBJ in 2010 but check this out
7/10/2008 12:08:43 PM
Pending trade: Clippers send Nuggets a future 2nd round pick for Marcus Camby
7/15/2008 9:54:26 PM
THAT IS SO GONNA MAKE UP FOR LOSING ELTON BRAND. GOOD JOB GUYS.
7/15/2008 9:57:02 PM
no way he stays healthy for a full season againOf 164 possible games played by him and Baron next seasonthey'll be lucky to get 120
7/15/2008 10:05:18 PM
Kamen or Camby at the 4?
7/15/2008 10:41:43 PM
LOL, they'll both be out 30 games so it doesn't really matter
7/15/2008 10:42:51 PM
is kamen really a 4? i haven't really paid attention to him since he left college, but i thought he was all 5
7/15/2008 10:43:54 PM
7/16/2008 8:53:45 AM
^^Think he meant that if they're both on the floor at the same time, who will be the 4/5?...
7/16/2008 10:13:04 AM
They're both 5's, that's a weird trade. I saw something on a Knick blog that said maybe they use Camby to get Zach Randolph from the knicks. Zach's definitely a 4 and the knicks would need camby's expiring contract for the summer of 2010.
7/16/2008 11:02:53 AM
Posey to the HornetsProbably a bigger move than most people realizeNot sure the Celtics win without him last year
7/16/2008 4:44:47 PM
as long as the Celtics had Scott Foster in zebra stripes, that series was a lock
7/16/2008 4:49:51 PM
Give it up...the Lakers got punked regardless of the officiating.
7/16/2008 4:53:36 PM
theres absolutely nothing that is ever going to change who won the series, or that the Boston Celtics are the 2007-2008 NBA World Championsbut you're also pretty damn naive if you don't get suspicious that Donaghy made more calls to Foster than he made to his bookie, and Foster officiated the finals...
7/16/2008 4:55:33 PM
Yeah...I really believe that after the Donaghy shit went down that NBA officials decided to fix games in the NBA Finals this year... I'm actually not going to make a judgment on anything until more information comes out. But I don't trust anything Donaghy does right now...he's doing his best to make other people look bad and himself look better.
7/16/2008 5:49:06 PM
So the fact that phone records the federal government siezed from Donaghy / his phone company show that he called Scott Foster more during the investigative period than he called his BOOKIE doesn't at all seem suspicious? This is not anything Donaghy is doing to make someone look bad...its his phone records from before he was ever caught...
7/16/2008 5:52:52 PM
I'm just waiting. Favre's not coming back, Baron and Brand in LA, Josh Hamilton from crackhead to 28 HRs in first round of home run derby...sports and the situations that are going on in them these days are just too damn unpredictable. The Lakers did get beat by 7 million points in Game 6...that's all I have left to say on that subject.
7/16/2008 6:17:05 PM
do you think by admitting that Donaghy isnt the only corrupt official in the NBA that you are going to hurt the Celtics or something? I don't get it, unless you want to be naiveDonaghy called Foster more than Donaghy called his bookie...how can you not be suspicious]
7/16/2008 6:44:57 PM
I thought that's what you were insinuating. I don't care how many officials were "corrupt" in that series...the Lakers got their asses whipped. As to what's going on with the NBA officials...I think there probably is a little something else going on. But I'll wait for an explanation as to the phone calls or more evidence before I make my judgment. Donaghy just makes my skin crawl...so I'll be biased and say that I'll take the side against him until I see more shit come out.
7/16/2008 6:57:15 PM
7/16/2008 7:01:30 PM
Yeahyeah...But still...I know what you're really saying when you say this:
7/16/2008 7:18:02 PM
this shit isnt about the lakers or celtics, i could care less about those 2 teamsi was pulling for LAL for monetary reasons but i know no new findings are going to change the outcome of the seriesbut it is fucked up when we know Donaghy is guilty (we almost know) and then just in the last week it comes out that Donaghy called another ref more frequently than he called his bookie...and that ref was still reffing games]
7/16/2008 7:21:27 PM
Just saw the terms on Posey's contract....holy shit he's getting overpaid. The guy has never averaged double digits. "Intangibles" are getting generously too much weight in his deal. Good probability he won't even be playing halfway into his contract.4 years at $25 million...ridiculous.
7/17/2008 8:08:43 AM
Yeah my initial post complimenting the Hornets was before I saw the numbersAs Hollinger said, he got a 2 year 7 million deal last offseason (with an opt out)All of the sudden now he's worth twice as much annually, and you trust him to produce till he's 35 ?
7/17/2008 1:28:02 PM
Bottom line...Posey should give his agent a raise.
7/17/2008 1:39:41 PM
big shot bob was still helping the spurs in 2007... and he's 38!
