I saw WarGames on AMC the other day and thought that movie was mostly , but I never saw it as a kid and so that makes it tough to judge. I can see how it was revolutionary for 1983.

Escape from New York did not age too wellBut how are we talking about aging? Special Effects? Ideas? Plot? One movie that has aged well, as far as Special Effects go, is Jurassic Park
6/30/2008 8:31:16 PM
Friday is still awesome.you just got knocked the fuckout
6/30/2008 8:32:58 PM
i've heard the french connection hasn't aged well but I haven't seen it. I really need to.
6/30/2008 9:09:59 PM

Independence DayThe climax happens ~1 hour into the movie, then it's 90 minutes of wrapping everything up.
7/2/2008 10:46:43 AM
Going to have to agree with Tron. I get the point about it being one of the first movies with cgi, but the dialogue is the worst part of the movie to me. When only engineers had any clue what words like ram meant it was probably pretty clever. No longer.

Labyrinth I rented it recently since my wife had never seen it. Loved it when I was younger, but MAN what a boring ass movie now.Oh and I thought Robocop's Ford Taurus was awesome as a kid
7/2/2008 6:36:25 PM
300 not not aging well, it just gets worse with each viewing imo.~, i know.
7/2/2008 11:44:51 PM
Road Trip aged rather quickly

7/3/2008 6:18:25 AM
yea prob back to the future 2, although that movie was pretty dumb from the start
7/3/2008 1:27:18 PM
Air Force One, though it wouldn't be on this list it wasn't for the awful CGI when the plane crashes at the end.
7/3/2008 4:01:12 PM
7/3/2008 8:49:13 PM
^ and if the climax did happen 1 hr into it, that isn't causing the movie to not age well. That would just be stupid writing.
7/3/2008 10:01:29 PM

I'm sitting here trying to watch Star Wars I to ramp up for Rogue One, and it is almost unwatchable. It's basically one long cartoon with a few actual actors involved.
12/2/2016 12:19:01 PM
And yet it's still better than 3 somehow
12/2/2016 12:25:12 PM
none of the star wars movies have aged well. I saw my first one at 26. didn't get why anyone would love the franchise

12/2/2016 3:20:19 PM
Total Recall is anotherAnd I don't think Jurassic World will stand the test of time either. The original's CGI is almost as good as the CGI in the latest one, and it was done over what, 20 years ago?
12/2/2016 3:22:57 PM
i assume you're referring to the shitty remake Total Recall and not the timeless classic original.]

Event Horizon use to scare the fucking shit out of me.I started watching it about a year or two ago and thought it was pretty lame. That was very disappointing.
12/5/2016 3:40:58 PM
The CGI in that movie def. hasn't stood the test of time. Sam Neil's face is still pretty freaky though.
12/5/2016 4:10:02 PM
Jumper is one movie that has aged super well though. Probably because the special effects were not over the top and they used a lot of real sets instead of green screen.
