When I got tested for STDs the lady who stuck a qtip in my p33n said that AIDS was actually pretty hard to get, but in any case you need to wait at least 3 months after having the last sexual encounter with the person who you think you might have gotten something from to get a worthwhile test. The other tests could be taken immediately and give accurate results.

You are probably (hopefully) just scared, which is perfectly reasonable. I was scared shitless when I got tested and after everything was ok I realized that I was overreacting and worrying too much.

But seriously, get yer shit checked out.

they need to start making greater use of tests that don't involve q-tips.

and people need to start getting tested a LOT more often

"HPV is curable in women now, haven't you seen the 4.5 billion commecials on Guardasil? "

this quote has already been corrected twice, but I thought I'd do it again. Gardasil is a vaccine only, it can't cure HPV if you already have it. Maybe Cael was thinking of the fact that women with HPV are still recommended to get the vaccine. This is because Gardasil protects against 4 strains of the virus, so even if a woman has HPV the vaccine can still help by protecting against a strain that she doesn't have.

I'd much prefer a q-tip in my p33n occasionally than some random disease

Don't trust an AIDS test in a developing country. We learned in HI 479 that AIDS tests in Africa don't work and lots of people come back to the USA testing positive and then take one in the USA and test negative.

ive had the STD scare. Dont worry about it. Get tested every month for the next 6months.

Its $texas if you dont have insurance, but if you do it'll still cost you a pretty penny.

And do get test every month.
